I’ve been following The xx since their first LP and was suuuper not into this album at first, but it’s grown on me since the first couple listens. Def more upbeat than the first two releases, but it makes sense regarding their progression.

I've been listening to these guys since their debut album - xx. They aren't my most favorite, or my top 10, or even my top 20. They just sound good and they're great to listen to, especially in my car. This album is on par with their last, which I found to be a solid album as well. I definitely think that their debut album will by my favorite by them, albeit this one has a few great songs that I enjoy very much, with others that are quite good. For a better review, checkout the hundreds of other ones outside of best buy, by people who know what they're talking about.

A little poppier, still good and distinctive

The xx gained attention and a devout following with a quiet, stark, atmospheric sound. I See You, the band's third record, has a slightly fuller, more standard sound. The band has stepped a bit away from what made them special but I See You isn't slick and cynical. And I'm all for catchy songs like On Hold, I Dare You, Say Something Loving and A Violent Noise. I See You is a good, confident sounding record.

Not as good as the Debut but better than Coexist

I loved the XX debut album, pretty much any song I found myself listening to on repeat. Their second album, Coexist, was pretty much a flop for me. I've listened to I See You several times now and there are a few winners on the CD. But they still haven't been able tap back into the simple brilliance that was their debut album.

Jamie xx has learned a lot about the sonic palette from doing his solo record, and it shows here in the variety of settings he creates for Romy and Oliver. The effect is not the intimate whispers of the first record, but that of group coming into its artistic maturity. Recommend highly.

More Dense and More of the Same

There's not a lot to separate this album from the previous two XX albums but what seems to be a bit more technical prowess in the studio. The album feels like a more dense continuation of what XX has been doing for some years now. Nothing new, just better.

The XX Proves They Aren't Going Anywhere

It's been a while since we've heard from the XX and they deliver once again proving they are true artists of the 21st century. Their sound is much fuller yet they still manage to retain their unique sound.

Nothing radically different from the other 2 xx CD's in my collection. I like their sound and this one doesn't disappoint (although I like the 2 earlier ones slightly more).

This one is definitely much better than the last album. Where the last one all sounded the same, there is a lot of sounds going on but still maintains that chill vibe.

XX is a new band for me, I thought the female/male lead singers is an interesting touch.
