This IFit heart rate monitor is accurate. It picks up my heart rate as soon as I push start on my treadmill. I use the IFit app., so this heat rate monitor is perfect. I compared this monitor with the heart rate on my watch, and my heart rate was the same on both. I’ve had other heart rate monitors and they failed to contact to my equipment. And yes, I had the heart rate monitor app. I’m very pleased with the IFit heart rate monitor.

We purchased a ProForm treadmill with iFit built in but I felt I was missing out on the interactive heart rate monitoring. Older treadmills had a built-in monitor (touch the handrail) which is not particularly accurate and was dropped in the latest version of our treadmill. I had done some iFit workouts that were looking for a heart rate monitor and tried to use my Apple Watch but that definitely does not work. I looked at various models that would all work with the treadmill but they seemed to have lots of add-ons, pretty displays and reviews saying they would stop working after about a year. With that in mind, I went for the more basic but seemingly more reliable iFit SmartBeat heart rate monitor. It is a basic monitor on an arm-strap with Velcro to secure and a USB charger. You set the monitor on the charger in a specific direction and then it magnetically attaches to charge. The monitor is comfortable to wear on either forearm or bicep although I prefer it on my bicep. The monitor has a few basic LEDs to signal if it is on, off, charging, needs to charge or is measuring heart rate. Pairing with our treadmill was fast. Press the monitor to turn it on on, touch the treadmill screen to turn on the feature in the workout and it would begin a 2 minute calibration during the warm up. The workouts definitely gain something by having the heart rate monitor involved. The treadmill was adjusting both speed of the treadmill and inclination of the platform to keep me in the appropriate heart zones as I ran. Previously, my wife would comment that my face looked red and I was very sweaty, probably working a bit too hard. Now, with the heart rate monitor, my runs are more measured and I'm staying in healthier heart rate zones and looking less red and sweaty. The only issues I have with the monitor are that it seems a bit expensive for what it is and that I sometimes forget to turn it off when finished. I guess if you get what you pay for, this is value for money as it seems to do the one job very well. I can't speak to the longevity of the monitor yet but other, older reviews should be a better guide. My second time of using the monitor, it worked for about 1 minute and then just would not stay connected. At the time, I did not know why but later figured out it had been left on since the first workout, had not charged and had run out of battery. I should have paid more attention to the instructions which list the LED statuses for On and Off. It does not auto-shutoff so you need to make sure you turn it off when finished. Other than this learning process, I find it a very useful addition to the treadmill and definitely get more out of my workouts when wearing the heart rate monitor.

The iFit -Smartbeat Forearm Heart Rate Monitor is easy to attach to the forearm. It connects easily to my Pro-form elliptical and once connected to my elliptical, it registers automatically to the iFit programs on my tablet, if I chose to use one of them . The numbers it displays appear to be quite accurate. They are very close to my Fitbit numbers. I would guess the iFit heart rate monitor is most accurate because it fits snugly on the forearm whereas the Fitbit fits more loosely on the wrist. They are within a few numbers of each other though.

I bought this heart rate monitor for my daughter and we liked it so much I ordered another one for myself. Very easy to put on. The strap fits my arm comfortably. I especially like the charger. I keep it plugged in and ready to charge the monitor after every workout. The heart rate monitor is easy to attach to the charger and doesn't take up much room on my counter. I would highly recommend getting this heart rate monitor to help you achieve your fitness goals.

I’ve use the polar chest strap heart rate monitor in the past. I like this much better because I already have the strap from my sports bra going around me, and this is way less annoying & dryer because it’s not under my tank top getting all sweaty. Highly recommend over a cheat strap for chics. It reads my heart rate perfectly & sinks easily. I love it!!!!

Easy to use and more comfortable than a chest strap. Wore it in conjuction with a chest strap just to see how they compared. Pretty consistent measure ments between the two but the ifit armband lagged behind the chest strap by a few seconds. Not a big deal for me but might be if you are doing some serious heart rate training. IMO this is overpriced.

works well with iFit app and NordicTrack i15s exercise bike. Follow your heart rate as you bike for maximum benefit.

My wife and I our big fans of IFit exercise/fitness programs. Once we started exercising usiing our heart rates, we went to the next level of fitness. A chest heart rate monitor is kind of annoying so we thought we would try these. What a difference it makes. We hardly know we have it on and the machines we are using recognize these right away (Nordictrac treadmill and elliptical and The Mirror).

It’s a good product that automatically connects to my treadmill. My treadmill just takes a while to calibrate it. The price is a little high tho.

Holds charge for long time , charge it once per week. Heart rate is accurate and useful to see current data .

This heart rate monitor works with the Nordictrack treadmill that I have. I have an iFIT subscription and I would like to do cycling classes on my Bowflex bike or Strength/Pilates classes but it does not look as though this heart rate monitor works when you are not using Nordictrack equipment. Only reason why I gave it 4 stars.

This heart rate monitor works great with my treadmill. The only big problem I have is that this monitor does not work with any phone. Eliminating the possibility of using the monitor while running outside.

Excellent device but charging cable goes bad and then no longer works. Has occurred to me three times on same type of device. Ifit does not seem to know why. I love the use of the device to keep track of performance. Hope the next version is better.

I ordered the iFit Heart Rate Monitor to synch with the iFit programs on the treadmill. Both my husband I share, and find that it helps to see how we are doing during selected programs. At times, I feel that my heart rate is higher than what I see on the screen of the treadmill but overall it is a good visual gauge. It recharges quickly and the battery life lasts approximately 10 days. This is the our first time using a heart rate monitor during exercise, and decided on this over the one that goes around the chest. It can be wiped clean between uses. Happy with the purchase.

Works well. Bought it to get the most out of my iFit treadmill workouts. Connects easily and battery charge lasted me about a week roughly.

It connected right away to my NordicTrack Treadmill with iFit, and gives identical heart rate readings to my Apple Watch.

Probably the easier HRM to pair with Nordictrack equipment. Works flawlessly with nordictrack s15i studio bike.
