My only complaint is that even on the dimmest setting the display is quite bright. 2 things would make this prefect for my tastes; a more dimmable display (maybe 1 more level) or have the display turned off until the alarm sounds at which point the display "wakes up" until snoozed or it is canceled.

Too bright

Decent alarm clock for the money

The two downsides are the inability to lower the light on the display to where it’s not illuminating the room and finding the button to turn off the alarm in the morning. Two critical items for an alarm clock that should have been given more thought when designing the product.

This unit is able to be dimmed until the display is off.
To adjust the brightness of the display, press and release the Snooze/Display Dimmer
Button during normal operation (when no alarm is sounding) to cycle through the
brightness display settings, including turning the display off.
