Installed my car stereo quickly

Also my key was broken, damaged and now I'm having problems getting into my vehicle because of the key less remote. I need someone to contact me regarding this. 760-458-8849

Not Used

Geek Squad stereo system to my car
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m not very happy with the way I couldn’t get a refund on the installation for my car stereo system because the Merced store didn’t have an installer at it store so I lose 79 dollars because of that I had find somebody else to install my stereo with in Merced to do the job for me.

Install issues

The manager, Cody, is also trained in Car audio and always fixes the issues that his installers cause. It would be nice to not have to return each time. Seems like the issue is with the harness either being to small or not secured.

Do Not Use Geek Squad

The Stereo they installed did not work. they advised me to come back another day to get a new stereo installed even though swapping it out for a working one would have taken less than 5 minutes. I was unable to return due to work limitations so i purchased a different stereo and installed it myself. Horrible experiences call for bad reviews, I will never nor will i ever recommend Geek Squad to anyone. I will advise people to never use Geek Squad for the rest of my life because of this experience.

Horrible and rude service person

Yes my husband did show up for the appointment late. The check that was scheduled to do the install told him he would not do it because he was late and if my husband wanted to he could reschedule him for some time at the end of February. At the time my husband arrived the check was not doing anything else it's sitting there and he was very rude to my husband treating him badly even after my husband apologized for being late. He was so upset that he returned the stereo deck and speakers and says he will never shop at Best Buy again.

Stereo Installation
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We made an appointment for stereo installation online because the sales clerk said he couldn't do it when the stereo was purchased and the appointment had to made online. When we got there we were told that there would be at least a 2 hour wait because they were working on other installations. We should have been notified of this before we made the trip to the store. A phone call to notify us should have been made beforehand. We had to make another appointment for a few days later. Why make an appointment for a 1/2 hour installation then be told when you get there that the wait will be at least 2 hours? The cost for the installation was reasonable. The communication needs to be better. The installation was fine, my daughter is very happy with the stereo.

I was emailed a survey in which I provided feedback. I just let them know that I was not pleased with the fact that I didn't know ahead of time. The geek squad offered to refund the additional fees. Needless to say that didn't happen and when I spoke with the manager, it became an issue about they don't normally refund it. Finally, about a week later they refunded it. I have become very dissatisfied in best buy customer service and their return policies. I used to like shopping there but they have made my decision about not shopping there a lot easier.

Not Satisfied with the Installation

The physical installation was ok but unfortunately the Geek squad person did not configure the finer settings in the player to produce a good music effect. For example nothing was configured as far as cross over settings were concerned, the Car type settings was not configured etc. This has resulted in a not so good listening experience despite buying a good player. Im disappointed by this kind of service by Best Buy. Please contact me if you guys can configure the finer settings in the CD player properly. Regards, Sameer
