Classic Memphis Soul

One of the great singers from the 60s who was able totake a song and make it a definitive version. Check out his versions of the Archie's bubblegum pop song Sugar Sugar and the B eatles' Hey Jude.

Nice change of pace.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wilson Picket's music is hard for me to describe. Its Rocky, but not rock. Its bluesy, but not blues. It kinda flows like The Doobie Brothers or Cream, but is disctinct, at least to me. Anyway, I highly recommend it for anyone who likes music from the 60's and 70's and yet prefers the songs that aren't played on your local classic rock station. I am president of that fan club.

W. Pickett CD

Used to own the vinyl LP record of this very CD, but it got lost or tossed at some point. Felt lucky to find this CD at a great price. Best Buy's CD selection is really not the as good as it once was. Real happy with this purchace.
