Jesse Leech still has the vocal chops that makes him the best vocalist in Killswitch Engage's history (sorry, Howard). He really got to show off on Disarm The Descent. The question was could he do it again for Incarnate? Absolutely, but let's not forget about the rest of the band. FYI, the special edition digipak has expanded artwork and three bonus tracks, and only Best Buy has it.

Killswitch Engage's Best Album In This Decade

This album is the best metal album put out this year, it is also one of Killswitch's best albums to date within the Jesse Leach era. Disarm the descent was a great album, but this far and away tops that. Love Strength of the Mind, Hate by Design and Quiet Distress as favorites, also Triumph Through Tragedy in the bonus tracks is fantastic!

The sound quality is great on this CD. I have plastic passion and enjoy putting another case on my shelf, loading the disc into the player and turning it up to 11. If you're a fan of Killswitch Engage you basically know what you're in for. I had my initial impressions, listened through the album several times, then talked with another fan of the band about how this is a good album but neither of our favorite from Killswitch Engage.

Second installment since Jesse's return to vocals. Album seems much better put together than the last album. A lot of off timing guitar riffs and fills. KSE at it's finest.

Killswitch comes back with another awesome album. More singing than the last but still a solid album. Second bonus track is my favorite

Killswitch Engage was a band I started following in high school shortly after they released "End of Heartache." I became hooked by Jones' powerhouse vocals and the accompanying instruments. In my opinion, the album was beautiful and I was hooked after that point. I listwned to their previous albums and came across the CDs with Jesse. He brought such passion to the band with his emotional vocals. Although I prefer Jesse, Howard is excellent in his own way. The range displayed by Howard is awesome. The Devil You Know (Howard's new band) is a great band and you should check them out if you are a fan of KSE. Let me get to the point: Incarnate is a CD that builds upon an established sound much like the construction of a house. The CD lays a steady foundation down and successfully completes the job. The extended or special edition should be purchased as the bonus tracks are equally as powerful.

    KsE Back to Metalcare Roots

Absolutely love this CD. Jesse sounds incredible. This is yet another great example of metalcore from KsE. It's not anything that strays too far from their typical sound, but every album from this band seems to be a little bit different from one another. Crushing songs like "Cut Me Loose", "We Carry On", and a few others rely on atmosphere while other songs like "The Great Deceit" rely on how heavy the band can get with their metalcore sound, and it all sounds genuine in its execution. Far from any typical melodic death metal or metalcore where that just isn't present. Favorites on the album are "Hate By Design" and "Cut Me Loose".

Let me start by saying that I listened to this album the first time through while I was obviously distracted. I actually forgot to load it to a number of devices and didn't listen to it again for a few weeks. I commented to a friend that it was "ok", expressing that it had no catchy hooks. I couldn't have been more wrong! It's got all the trappings of a KE album, from the spoken word opening to the heavy grooves, metal drums and strong lyrics! Absolutely a fantastic album, and worth picking up! I really like a couple of the bonus tracks, so be sure those are there.

After hearing the single "Strength of the Mind," I thought I would go ahead and check out the album and I am glad I did. It absolutely destroys my speakers and makes for good work out music ! I also like the fact that this version in particular includes the bonus tracks that most of the digital stores had got - which is probably the most annoying thing in today's music as they should all be equal, especially to those like me who do not download music. I enjoyed the art and the booklet that it came with as well. Support the band and make your purchase !

I'm a big Killswitch Engage fan. I love the Howard Jones albums (all of them) and I love the Jesse Leech albums as well. Well, this is the second comeback album for Jesse Leech, and it is rather good. It might take a couple listens, but it does grow on you. It's not their heaviest album (save for the bonus tracks), but it's good and even catchy at times. Standout tracks are Ascension (sounds like it's off of the As Daylight Dies album), The Great Deceit, Embrace the Journey and Strength of the Mind. All of the bonus tracks are excellent, and to me, are three of the best/heaviest tracks on the album. If you like their last album, then you'll like this one since it's fairly similar.

I loved Leach's triumphant return in their last album Disarm the Descent, so I was really looking forward to what KsE would do next. In some ways, they improve. Songs like "Hate by Design" really show off Leach's improved vocal performance and superior song writing from the last album. However, I feel like this album is duller than the last release. It's not bad - I enjoy all the songs. Maybe it's due to the fact that this album isn't as "upbeat" as the last album, but I found myself getting tired of it quick. Despite this, it's still a very good album. If you're a KsE fan, it's definitely worth a buy, and at the very least a stream so you can hear it for yourself.

This Album seems a little more melodic than their last record. This album is choke full of solids tunes. The singer is top notch and the band is as tight as I've ever heard them. If you are into thrash, or any genre of metal, you owe it to yourself to pick this selection up. Get it at Best Buy and enjoy the bonus tracks.

Another stellar record from one of my all time favorite bands. Jesse sounds better than ever with plenty of hooks and breakdowns. This may very well be my favorite KSE record to date, though that tends to change depending on the day and my mood. If you like KSE don't hesitate as this has everything they excel at.

This is one of their heaviest to date, and proof positive that Jesse is the real deal. Do yourself a favor and grab this one asap..you'll thank me later \m/

While I was less than impressed with KsE's last two albums (they weren't bad by any means, just not great). I think that this one has put them back on the map. I haven't listened to it enough yet to really get to know the songs yet, but I definitely will.

If you are a fan of KsE you'll like this album. The band does not really break any new ground here. It's another solid album from the band. "Hate By Design" may be my very favorite KsE song. Also, if you are going to buy this CD, get the one with the 3 bonus tracks because one of the very best songs is the bonus track called "Triumph Though Tragedy."

I was never a huge fan of the Howard Jones fronted version of the band. But since Jesse has returned, I am back on board. And this record continues where Disarm The Descent left off. Best song is Strength Of The Mind. Great lyrics!

Incarnate is another great record from Jesse and the boys. Highlights include: Strength of the Mind, Embrace the Journey...Upraised, and It Falls on Me. Special mention to the Best Buy bonus tracks- All 3 are worthy additions.
