Infamous 2 is a worthly sequel
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sucker Punch has outdone itself with their latest game, Infamous 2, not only it's a better game than its predecesso, but also an experience only for PlayStation gamers. Infamous 2 is a great acomplishment for Sucker Punch and they should be comended for it. Presentation and Story: You begin where you left off in Infamous 1, Empire City right after you defeated Kessler, the future antagonist, Cole, and you're ready to head with Lousey Kuo to a new city called New Marais (prounouned "Marees"). The game plays the same but more fluid and dynamic. The presentation is presented with better scenes and also the story is told very well. Both of them make Infamous 2 a unique game that balances an open-world with great storytelling. Like its predecessor, you make choices and they play a main factor in choosing your own path. You can either become the villain that everyone fears and hate or you can become the hero that everyone loves. Score: 10/10 If you've played Infamous 1, which you have to play that one before jumping to the other one, you'll notice how much the graphics are improved. Fortuantely, the bad framerates are fixed, no glitches and no more Cole stuck inside a building. But some missions online which I'll explain later in the gameplay category, are glitchy, but I know you won't spend all of your time only playing the mission and so do I. That didn't bother me at all because I occasionally play Online missions though, they are somewhat different and fresh than the usual ones. Also, the graphics don't get downgraded while playing online and that's something I like. Score: 9/10 Soundtracks and Voice Acting: From the tension music in the heat action to the drumming sound while exploring for shardcores, it's all in the mood and I like not because it sets my mood right but also an impressive stand-alone soundtrack that you would enjoy listening to. Voice Acting is phenomenal though Cole's actor's has changed but the new guy's also amazing and I hope they don't change him. Both of them are great, but change sometimes fightens people and I am one of those people but once you put in more hours in the game, you'll find Cloe an already-lovable character just like the first one. The rest of the characters are also great, Zeke's is still solid. Newcomers to the series get the job very well done. Enemies' acting is Wow, they feel so natural. They talk to each other, they kind of talk about startegy during battles with Cole and my favorite thing… they scream!! Of course that is only seen mostly in missions. Score: 9.5/10 Gameplay: To start off, you have no menu at the beginning when you first insert the disc and that's fine. You immediately jump to the action. The loading times are almost non-existed and the core mechanics are still exactly the same, but more enojyable. The choices you make in the game not only affects the story, but your powers change too. Villain Cole has different from Hero Cole. But upgrading them is the same. You finish a side/primary mission you get Experience Points then once you have enough, you unlock a power. Melee attacks changed too, you don't punch people in the face. Now Cole has a electric rod that he swings with and also upgradyable. Score: 8.5/10 Conclusion: I don't know if I can write about Infamous 2 without spoiling too much information, but I can tell you this. You have to consider this game. And if you do, play Infamous 1 because it's so connected to the story. I know some gamers prefer Prototype to Infamous, but Prototype fans, you don't want to miss your nemesis game. Final Score: 9.5/10

Looks like Infamous 2 will be AMAZING
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have to agree with all of these reviews so far about the first Infamous game. It was REALLY fun with the powers and everything. I had a few issues about it with how you jump and the aiming parts of it. Infamous was the first game I downloaded to my PS3, Heck, IT WAS THE MAIN REASON I BOUGHT THIS SYSTEM. I am so looking forward to Infamous 2 and with the trailers and various news updates, I am MAJORLY impressed with the improvements they have made. Too bad they didn't keep their first rendition of Cole though. He looked better than the rendition they have now.

solid
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.great game. excellent replay value, play as hero (good guy) and then as infamous (bad guy). new power, new upgrades, even new cinematic clips, audio, and story. I dont prefer the Move feature, i guess im too old school. but i suppose if you like the Move, the features work well. I tried to play it that way and i suck. i cant really comment on that. PS3 network feature is cool too, with downloaded user content that merges with the regular story line. a better play than infamous 1, which was still a great game too. my only negative comment is that even on hard mode, the game isn't terribly difficult. bottom line--got get it, it rocks.

Strong sequel
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Continuing from the events of Infamous 1, Cole MacGrath has to go to a city name New Marais, to develop his powers in time to be able to defeat a new foe who is coming from Empire City. The gameplay is very similar to the first game, the biggest difference is UGC (User Generated Content), which allows anyone to create their own missions for others to play online. Another difference is there are story missions with supporting characters who also have superpowers, which I thought was a cool addition. I enjoyed this game a lot, though it is very similar to the first game in terms of gameplay. The blast shards are much easier to find in this game, though it took about 20 hours to get platinum.

Takes you to a whole new level of gaming
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I said the price is not so great for this game because I don't think it deserves it, to be less than $10 is simply out of proportion. But hey, who am I to complain, a deal is a deal. Anyway, the game is purely awesome. This game is a very good follow-up to the already classic Infamous 1. But just like everybody else here, I was kind of disappointed with Cole's voice. But not to a point that I'll give it a less than 5 star. It deserves more than a 5 star! If you still haven't bought this game, buy it.. the overall rating of this game will give you all the reason to buy this game!

Great open world game
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is a great open world game- familiar if you have played the original Infamous. It is fun to run around the streets and use the various super powers. There are minor bugs here and there, but those can be overlooked due to the scope of the game. Highly recommended

Infamous is an amazing Playstation exclusive
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Even better than Infamous Second Son PS4, which I loved and played first. The graphics aren't as good as that, but they are terrific and the story and main character is even better.

Amazing!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this game on the released date and boy oh boy I'm lovin this game. The graphic is a HUGE improvement compare to infamous 1. With added new weapon for Cole, you don't have to keep pounding enemies like they did on the old infamous. Story line was great (it's a continuation from infamous 1). So overall..... totally recommended for any gamers.

An Awesome Challenge!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I started with inFamous. Finished that and bought the second. WOW awesome. The only complaint is that they changed the voice of Cole. Why would you do that. Takes you out of the experience a little. That is the only gripe. I would recommend it to anyone. I am not a great game player but I enjoyed the heck out of it.

Excellent game
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first inFamous was a great game, and inFamous 2 is even better. It improves upon everything on the first game and adds more. This game was fun to play and it looked great. After finishing this game inFamous 2 became one of my favorite games of all time. The developers at SuckerPunch did an excellent job with this game. If I had more time I would go back and play it again while making different choices. Looking forward to the new inFamous game.

Great game!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Loved the first part of the story; this one picks up right where the last one left off. Some different voices but still a ton of fun to follow the story. The user created content was also a great idea and will constantly give you something new and fun to do in the game. A must own in my opinion! A spill.com review would give this a full price!

Going to be AWESOME!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is going to be awesome. inFamous is one of the best games on PS3 and part 2 is going to be even better. I have seen the trailers and the game play is going to be even more intense. I don't like paying full price for a game, but this is one I will happily pre-order. I also can't wait for Battlefield 3 and Uncharted 3. Definitely all top ten games of 2011.

This is a Pre-Review.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am looking for\ward to this game very much. The first inFamous is my favorite game on the PS3, possibly my favorite game of all time. I just wish that Best Buy had the inFamous 2 Hero Edition for Pre-Order (all 4 bonus-powers/skins/in-game-items, and extra goodies like a comic book and Cole's back pack sling.)

Awesome game!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My only complaint is that they changed Cole's voice, so he doesn't seem to be as...dark, theatning? It's just real noticeable when you go right from inFAMOUS to inFAMOUS 2.
