Customers are saying
Customers are positive about the graphics, story, powers, gameplay, open world, controls, voice acting, and action sequences in inFAMOUS Second Son. Many found the story engaging and the visuals stunning, while others enjoyed the smooth controls and exciting powers. However, customers are negative about the repetitive nature of some side missions and the game's overall ease of difficulty for some players. A shorter-than-expected playtime was also a point of contention for some.

Great PS4 Exclusive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had a PS4 since launch and have been waiting for a game that truly demonstrates the capabilities of this next gen console. While Second Son does a beautiful job of taking advantage of what the PS4 has to offer, I feel like this is only the beginning. The game play is much like past Infamous games, but the addition of some new powers and abilities make it seem fresh and inspiring. I am now in the process of playing through the alternate "choice" paths, but apart from that, the replay ability may be a little limited. The DLC may be the saving grace here. I was pleasantly surprised to find the Paper Trail option available early on, so there is a lot of hope for replay ability there.

Fun Game

best ps4 game to date
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best infamous and beat ps4 game to date. Silky smooth gameplay and true next gen graphics. Extremely fun my only complaint would be lack of side missions

Decent Game, Expected More
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I never owned a PS3 so this is my first experience with the Infamous series. I've heard good things about it so I came in with high hopes. Unfortunately it did not live up to my expectations. Second Son is not a bad game by any means but it's not a great game either. I like the idea of an open world game with a superhero but this game is a little too rough around the edges. Overall I'm glad I only paid $32 for this game at BBY rather than a full $60. First, the story is short and throwaway. The characters frequently jump to conclusions that the previous events did nothing to explain how they came to them. For instance in the beginning the main character Delsin discovers he's a conduit by coming into contact with a fire/smoke conduit. Even though the game explains that contact with a conduit can awaken powers in another person Delsin somehow realizes it wasn't just smoke powers laying inside him but that he's a "power sponge" who can absorb other powers as well with no explanation for how they discovered that. There's other examples of huge plot holes through the entire game as well. Overall the storyline is very short as well with most of your time spent repetitively freeing districts of Seattle from enemy control by doing the same things over and over again ad nauseam with a couple short storyline missions that involve a lot of Delsin chasing after but never catching people, 2.5 boss fights, and the game is over. There's also a black and white morality system which doesn't feel like it affects how the story pans out much. And then there's the controls. Navigation, especially climbing walls, is rather sloppy with Delsin doing things you didn't intend unfortunately often. Battling enemies is made a touch more difficult when you have to fight with your camera to find them. Having 3 different power sets to choose from during the game helps a little but a lot of the abilities, especially for the first 2 sets you receive, are so similar to each other you wonder why they bothered making them separate. As I started this review my overall opinion is this is an average game, worth a play, but it's not a great game you'll spend hours invested in the game world. Get it on the cheap, or better yet rent it, play through it once to say you have, then move on.

A true NextGen Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wasn't sure what to expect from Infamous Second Son, as I have never played the previous games... but I was pleasantly surprised. This game has such rich graphics, and settings that are very accurate to present day Washington State. The storyline is a bit predictable, and it felt like Grand Theft Auto due to it's sandbox nature. But in the end, the powers that your character possesses really hold you on the edge of your seat and entertained throughout the game. I highly recommend this title as a must buy for any PS4 owner as the first title to really show off how amazing the entire package is.

The first real "Next Generation" game!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been waiting Infamous: Second Son from the first day I bought my PS4. All my other PS4 games are just a graphical upgrade to the PS3 games, like Need For Speed and AC4. Infamous: Second Son has some great ideas, like aquiring powers from other conduits. The graphics are almost photo-realistic and the games pace is mostly really good. There are some missions that are better than others and some places that I paused woundering what to do next. Overall, I feel like this is the best reason to own a PS4, followed by the ability to remote play PS4 games on the PS Vita. This is the only "game to buy" right now exclusive to the next generation systems.

Great PS4 Game, OK Infamous Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely loved the Infamous games on the PS3 and was looking forward to this one. Second Sons is a fantastic looking game with lots of detail in the city. As an Infamous game it felt, only OK. I loved Cole McGrath from the first one, so Delsin didn't have his charm. The multiple powers were unique, but sometimes became frustrating when accidently drawing from the wrong power source. It is also a relatively short game, but you can maximize playing time by being both Infamous and a Hero. If you like the series, definitely check it out as it's one of the better PS4 games at the moment. I hope they continue the franchise going forward.

Best Example of Current-Gen Open World Game So Far
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As the top of my post suggests, this is, bay far, what an open world game should look/feel/play like! Sucker Punch have done an incredible job with their latest title in this franchise and first foray into current generation gaming. In fact, they've done such a great job, that they've actually embedded a Photo Mode into the live game play. You can pause the game play and take a cool shot with the particles flying around and everything. And that's just the start of Photo Mode! I shared a video link explaining more about Photo Mode. Check it out or go play now!
