    The adapter is just what was needed. I had planned on purchasing two cables and either splicing them together or cutting the connector off one end. Best Buy had the exact adapter I needed. The adapter works just fine, all three conductors are carried through to the Ring, Tip and Sleeve. Great Job....

    The Insignia 1/4" to 3.5mm Mini Headphone Jack Adapter (black) works perfectly for adapting a larger output jack to a small jack. I use mine to connect to the sound output of my surround sound system, plugging in a small (3.5mm) mini bluetooth audio transmitter to send sound to my headphones.
