Useful Depending On The Situation
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this product to use with BOSE headsets. It didn't work with them at all. I believe the reason is because the headsets have a connection for the microphone so it doesn't line up correctly. Took it back.

You get what you pay for
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Go with a gold plated metal quality one instead. The few extra dollars will make that much more of a difference. I was able to compare this Insignia to a metal gold plated adapter with my digital piano with headphones on and the difference is absolutely insane. You lose so much quality, clarity, and loudness with this cheap product.

Not a good quality adapter
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used this jack on my Pioneer VSX elite series home theater. Doesn't work well at all. Strong echo in headphones, and I can not hear voices, or they are really low.

Worked where another failed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My LP Crossfade headphones came with a 3.5 mm cable and a 3.5 mm to 1/4 inch adapter to use where needed. It was a nice all metal adapter with gold plated connectors, however one channel was intermittent. I purchased this Insignia model to replace it and it works perfectly, for $5 it's a good value and serves the purpose.

About everything you could expect
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yes, it's not a $50 gold-plated, machined from a solid piece of brass adapter for audiophiles, but it works just about the same, and is a necessity for upsizing to larger 1/4" plugs, like on my Onkyo receiver. Probably not the cheapest, but is available locally which makes it convenient.

Not sure about the quaility
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I plugged this into my Yamaha amplifier to listen to my PC through headphones. The sound is all distorted, and low quality. I wiggle the jack around, and the sound quality improves/worsens. Sound through speakers sound fine when listening to games & YouTube through the speakers. But need to trouble shoot more.
