This refrigerator won’t cool below 45 degrees on the coldest setting, even with few other items in the unit. I bought it to store refrigerated meds but I can’t trust it to cool to recommended temperatures.

Anyone who has to share a common kitchen and fridge with thieving coworkers will appreciate this little unit! I have wanted a fridge for my office for years and kept putting off getting one because they just look so “college”. This little guy is all grown up with the smooth black finish and a door that can go both ways. The biggest key to success here is that it actually gets COLD!! If you’ve stayed in a hotel suite lately you have likely experienced the “what’s the point” fridges there that keep beverages and leftovers perfectly luke warm no matter how long the goods are inside. I’m elated to report this Insignia model keeps yogurt and water chilled! I have not used it as a freezer, just a good cold fridge, but it has a rating down to 32 degrees. That means a pint of coffee chip should survive as well on the correct setting. My lights do not dim when the fridge comes on and it’s very quiet, which fits the bill for an office companion. I recommend for someone who needs a fridge that looks nice, takes up minimal space, holds several drinks, yogurts and lunch leftovers, and actually does its job!

    It's a mini-fridge and it works well

So we have a dedicated spot in our master bathroom bar for a mini-fridge. The spot can actually hold a larger size mini-fridge (like the ones that have a small freezer section). However, I opted to get this cube-sized mini-fridge (rather than rectangular-sized) for one main reason - very little to no upkeep needed. The problem with the mini-fridges that have a freezer section is that you have to occasionally thaw out the unit due to the ice build up in and around the freezer section. The last unit I had got ruined during this thawing process, I'm not sure how. But the sad thing was that I never even used the freezer section in that unit but had to essentially throw it away after I tried to thaw it. So, when this one came up I decided to opt for the smaller unit that didn't have the freezer section and I'm happy that I did. So my advice is that if you really don't need the freezer get this Insignia unit, you'll be pleased with it's size, capacity and performance as I've been so far and you won't regret or miss not having a freezer.

Great Addition to my Dining Room

In the box is the fridge and an instruction. First Impression - The fridge is exactly what I was expecting and fits perfectly in my dining room. I got this particular size and model because I keep drinks on my buffet in my dining room and it would be great if they were already cold. I typically get cans but lately the bottled drinks have been on sale, so I have bottle cola drinks in there currently. The fridge fits about 15 - 16.9 ounce bottled drinks on the top shelf and on the bottom shelf it fits cans perfectly. On the door, it fits the 16.9 bottle or cans or maybe a wine bottle. The drinks were room temperature when I put them in and a couple hours later they were cool. The instruction manual does state that you should only plug the fridge in on one outlet. Nothing else should be plugged in, in the second outlet. Overall, I love this fridge and it is a great addition to my household as I can put juice boxes or any other drink that I want to keep cold in there. I would recommend to friends and family and I would purchase again.

Installed this lil guy in my Office. It's nice having an on-hand space for drinks and small snacks. If you need a drink/snack fridge in a game room, office, or a small dorm fridge for essentials, something like this should do the trick. Also looks like they have plenty of options for sizes, I opted for the smallest one personally because I Wanted something I could have in my office space for drinks. Anything bigger would have been in the way for me. So, this little 2-foot cube of a fridge is great, and worlds better than those cheap 'drink coolers' they like to sell that barely keep anything cold, let alone actually cool something down. This may not look like anything special, but it's not trying to be, and that's actually a benefit here. Nothing to push the costs up, solves a singular problem and doesn't invent any new ones to try and solve. Would be nice if they could get the compressor on these mini fridges a bit smaller just to get a little more internal storage space out of them without making the whole thing bigger. But as advertised it has a little more than 1 and a half cubic feet of space inside to stuff it full of drinks and snacks. It's nice just buying a case of my drink of choice and putting them in this for the week. Also keeps others out of my juice since I no longer have to store it in the family fridge. So that's nice.
