Crashes so much, I entered it in a Demolition Derby. It crashed on the way to the arena. Luckily it is so slow no one was hurt ... or was even aware it was on.

I really wanted to like this. Got it when it was on sale for a great price. Physically the tablet was just what I wanted, but it didn't work. It would constantly get errors about various services and apps that stopped working. It would randomly reboot. After randomly rebooting it wouldn't always start back up again, sometimes it would get stuck on a black screen with the Insignia logo and it would just reboot over and over. It seemed to work mostly ok, if it wasn't using wifi. Sometimes if you used one app on wifi and then tried to switch to a different app, it couldn't use the wifi, even if you closed the first app. You would have to reboot. and then you could use the other app. I updated everything I could update and tried using it right up until the last day I could return it crossing my fingers and installing all updates as they came out. On the last day I could return it, I spent over an hour trying to get to a webpage and chrome would just disappear while you were reading a page and then you couldn't relaunch chrome until you rebooted the tablet. You could click the icon, but it just wouldn't run. I knew it was a lost cause after rebooting the tablet the 5th or 6th time and still not being able to do what I wanted. I just gave up and finally returned it. Despite the fact the price was half what any comparable tablet would be, it wasn't worth it. I regret wasting my time with it. There were obvious problems the first time I powered it up and I should have just returned it then. The software on this shouldn't even be in Beta. It is unbelievable it is a shipped product. I thought to have the play store on a tablet Google expected it to meet certain requirements, but that is hard to believe after seeing this. Read the negative reviews. Sadly, they are all true.

Exceeded by far all expectations. Best money investment ever. You can not go wrong buying this tablet. And I read all the negative reviews before buying it.

I typically don't write product reviews, I'm making an exception here. Purchased the 10" Insignia Tablet based solely on price, on sale for $79. I thought at that price you can't go wrong. Unfortunately this tablet has several significant issues. First and most important is the constant lose or dropping of your WIFI connection. I own 4 other tablets and don't experience this issue with any of them all functioning at the same location. Second, is the tablet locking up. The Insignia tablet consistently lock ups which makes using the tablet frustrating to say the least. Third, the overall performance is sluggish. I know you get what you pay for but my expectation was at very least basic reliable functionality and the ability to maintain a viable WIFI connection. This tablet fails in both areas, I would save your money a buy something that actually works.

Be sure to read the other negative reviews on here, because they are all accurate. Not only does it malfunction but it is cheap and flimsy. My tablet stopped functioning properly within the first week and then the screen shattered when I dropped it out of frustration. When I tried to return it Best Buy Customer Service wouldn't take it because I didn't purchase the protection plan. I was out $110.00, never again!

Stay as far as possible from this piece of carp. The operating system is VERY buggy, has not been updated in over 3 years, and Insignia support is non-existent. If you want to carry extra weight that won’t stay connected to wi-fi, performs slowly at any task, then this is for you. Not only would I not recommend it to a friend, I wouldn't recommend it to an enemy. It owes me stars in the rating.

I have had trouble since day one. I tried not to push too hard. Mainly used for watching streaming shows and as reader. It randomly shuts down and is nonresponsive. Sometimes when it does reboot, the colors are all green and black. It may go 2 days and not power up and then it will be ok for a few days. Terrible tablet

After using this tablet for 2 years, it finally died! Does not turn on, nor charge. At first, it was working fine, then after a year, began to overheat, drop my games and apps, would not download from playstore, etc. Thus, I reset to factory settings, worked fine for 3 months, and now it's dead. I am done with off-brand or in-house brand. Do _not_ waste your money, buy an Samsung.

Head's up. If you decide to purchase this tablet, you won't be able to run the Netflix app on it. It's literally the only tablet I've ever seen that won't. As with android based tablets you sign into your Google account. I did & starting downloading apps. It was weird when I noticed that Netflix didn't come up when I typed it into the search window. I had to go back & look it up by my app library & it doesn't even give you the option of installing it. Beyond that the tablet won't let me load an SD card which is kind of annoying. Other than these issues the tablet is pretty good.

I bought this to replace my personal one for just games and personal browsing. It took forever for the wifi to connect and once it did it kept shutting down. When I was finally able to get one of my games to download it took FOREVER for it to come up. I tried to connect to the most poplar site there is Facebook and it took 20 minutes for it to connect. Needless to say I will be returning this after only 3 days of use I can't . I need my tablet on a daily and this is not the one.

Both 2 of these for my children thinking they would be good for them to be introduced to tablets with. Boy was I wrong. Long load times, system crashes and the USB charging port is not only in a horribly difficult position to use it wears out on the inside and will not accept a charging chord unless you position it just right. I would exchange them under warranty but then I'd still be stuck with a junky tablet that simply doesn't operate smoothly.

If you're looking for a paperweight, this device is for you. Also, if you're looking for a device that will not maintain an internet connection, is slow to respond to any command, and simply crashes for no apparent reason, this device is for you. If, however, you're looking for a tablet that performs and is reliable, keep looking. This device is not for you.

I first purchased this product in Jan. 2016 and it was fine for a while until it started cutting off and would not hold a charge. I returned the original one and they replaced it with a new one. This morning I went to turn the tablet on after being on the charger and it will not come on. This product is the worst and I would not recommend it to anyone. I am returning this one for a store credit since it cannot be repaired in the store.

Don't get a insignia tablet save your money it breaks down all the time I brought two of them and the first one break down in a week then I got a replacement and that broke down with in two days Then I goten another replacement. And that broke in 2 days. The,problem I have with the brand Insignia tablet is it will froze on me every time and it won't let me turn it off so don't get this device save your money and time

I got this tablet for my birthday. I had a seven and wow what a difference!!! I love it!!!

This is my second tablet in 2 weeks. Tablet lags and always shows that apps are not responding. Geek squad says its my internet, but i can get on other WiFi signals and it still shows thwt the apps are not responding. Taking it back to best buy and getting my money back! (10.1")

This is a very easy to use tablet . With the most easy installation process. I love it

Look, I don't need anything fancy I was just looking for something that would update new operating systems because my Kindle stopped running certain videos from YouTube and my Xfinity app stopped working on it. Yet, this Insignia is so slow and sometimes stops working it's so bad that I just use my Kindle that is like 5 years old because it works better than this Don't waste your money on this

bought 2 of these tablets and they work ok except they keep dropping the wifi connection. tried updating the tablets to see if maybe there was an update that fixes the wifi issue and I just get an error message every time I check for updates. I know they are cheap tablets but they should atleast hold a wifi connection.

I needed a tablet on a budget and chose this one and it will be going back tomorrow because it has done a thermal shutdown twice, goes to the security unlock screen while I'm playing a game, it is a piece of junk period. I had a Samsung Tab E that this thing replaced and there is no comparison between the two. This thing is slow in every aspect and I'm sorry that I picked it up.
