You Get What You Pay For

I got this tablet because it was cheap and because it came with a keyboard. However, the tablet is so slow that it is almost unusable. I had to uninstall all unnecessary apps just to be able to run the tablet without programs freezing. Even though I got it less than 6 months ago, I am already looking for another tablet.

Choose a tablet by the software you want!

If you want to browse the web, an ipad, android or windows tablet will work equally well. I was able to load my favorite word processor (lotus wordpro) , spreadsheet, free form database and a clipboard history on this tablet with the same result as my desktop. Most importantly, windows, I believe, has a superior filing system that's easy to work with. So, I can do more than browse --I can share work with my desktop.

Awesome little go anywhere Windows laptop

I'm frankly astounded by this little guy. I bought it on a whim as an open box for less than I've paid for dinner. It's no barn-burner, but it gets the job done for Office and light web browsing and I can shove it in my shoulder bag and go. The jury is still out on battery life, and I'm pretty used to small machines, but it's a great adjunct for getting work done on the go.

    Unbelievable Window Update Download

It looked almost 16 hours to do window update which was so scary cuz the pc was on and could not be shut off over 24 hours. I deleted the Microsoft Window Updated assistance program, and finally it worked again.

    Blah

Well for $80 maybe it's not bad. But really, Microsoft needs to get out of the tablet business. It's twice the weight of ipads or Samsung tablets. I find it awkward to use as a tablet, even in tablet mode. Uncomfortable for my hands. For a laptop it's too small. The screen is IPS but it ain't no gorilla glass that's for sure. After spending a day with it, I then pick up my Samsung tablet and think ahhh, this is what a tablet should be. Maybe if you want to use it as a toy for your kids or something for travel it you might like it. But even at this low price I can't fathom using it. I'm taking it back to the store.

    Great laptop for everyone

I was looking for an inexpensive laptop and I found it. I bought it for $79, a total savings of $100!!! This is better than I expected it to be. Features on it are nice haven't had any trouble with it. I recommend it for everyone, especially for beginners and the only thing I do regret is not getting me a second one.

The only issue I've had is with charging. I often plug it in and it does not charge (it shows as being plugged in but says it's not charging).

I bought this for my ESXi server so that i can maintain it without having to turn my desktop on and to look at emails but i let it sit for months as i wasnt needing it much so i put it on my shelf and after 3 months of not using it i went to charge it and it doesnt even charge and its completely dead... what a waste of money a cheap tablet that would have done a lot of things for me just sitting and collecting dust!!

I've had this tablet for over a year now, it worked well the first months but after that it became very slow, can't even watch netflix on it, it still pretty much stock, not even office installed on it, only the antivirus that came with it, in order to recover some processing speed i"ve had to do a factory reset twice in a year.

Mostly unusable for typing, totally useless gps

    Posted .

This does not have offline gps in the windows version. And if you are more than a hunt and peck typist, the position and sensitivity of the track pad makes it impossible to type without regularly blowing up your text with a stray cursor. And there's no apparent way to turn it off. Needs to be redesigned.

    Complete lack of support

Device had performed well, up until I was required to reset back to factory. Windows 10 failed to detect several devices, including the touch panel. Insignia dies not make these simple files available for download. The Insignia technician referred me to a post on the Best Buy forums with the correct download... but Best Buy had removed it! 5 days of back-and-forth emails, 1 hour with chat technician, and been on hold with Best Buy for an hour as I write this. Come on, people, literally every PC manufacturer BUT Insignia makes driver downloads available for their products.

    Don't update it!

I was stupid enough to do windows update and it took every last driver and everything with it when I did. Short story-never did get it to work. Smashed it up and threw it out. I would try another but it never went on sale when I h!ad the money. If you do buy one, nuke Windows update immediately and leave well alone!!

    Bad Tablet

I have been through 2 tablets since November 2017. Works as long as you don't use the internet for anything. Kept having windows popping up telling me that Google is not responding or the Play store, UI, or things like that. Mine just quit last night. Will not turn on and makes a funny sound.
