Above average for a 2 screen system. It took a bit to get used to the buttons. I wish they were mounted on top. My grandson was able to press them with his toes while facing the rear in his car seat. Also you will need to purchase a splitter for the power cords. The headrest mounts did not tighten up as well as I like, would tip to the side after a few hours on the road.

These things are great for the kids! They turn on quickly and resume where you left off when you turn the car off. Which is really good. Volume is ok just add some headphones if the kids are not hearing it but so far my kids don’t complain about the volume. Although we the parents can’t really listen to the radio lol but whatever. I recommend this product 100% One somewhat negative thing is The way they get mounted to the headrests, they kinda slip off so you need to strap them reaaaally tight so they have less of a chance to allow off.

I wanted a DVD system for the kids in my truck and bought this on sale. Video quality is okay, sound levels are good. Here are my issues: the system does not include the cable to link both screens together to play the same disc simultaneously. SERIOUSLY?!?! You can’t include a cable that would cost a few dollars? And I couldn’t find one on Best Buy’s app, so I had to buy one off of Amazon. Next is that the remotes do not adjust the volume. Tons of useless buttons on the remotes, but no volume. Also the remotes don’t seem to work from the front seat. Finally, a nitpick item, they labeled the volume buttons on the units backwards (down volume actually increases the volume).

Super easy to install. If you have more than one child and they don’t want to watch the same thing, you can have different movies at the same time. Great quality and sound. I would buy again. I bought during deal of the day and got them even cheaper.

due to the current pandemic I decided to drive down to Florida and not take a flight. the long journey was something that had me worried because of my 3yr old, so I decided to purchase this DVD player hoping it would help keep my son relaxed, and let me tell you it did! the screen is a perfect size, the quality of the picture was great, the sound is just perfect and it played every single movie I inserted without a single skip, I was very surprised and pleased at how good this DVD player worked. plug and play ! I recommend!

Nice product and the grandkids love them. So far they work well. Three downsides, for me at least. Headrest straps were too small to get over my super duty headrests. Each unit must plug in separately when using AC. Some might find this a benefit but my truck only has a single AC outlet. It does have a dual DC outlet jack but I find that it came loose quite often. Finally, complete operation is dependent on the remote controls. It is much easier for a 5 yr old to hit play in the actual unit. As I said these are my opinions based on a comparison to a previous dual unit I owned and became accustomed to, you may like these differences.

These were pretty useful for the kids on our last trip. They worked well and they kept the kids occupied. One thing that would be a great add on for these though would be the ability to have a line in so they could play a switch or wii on them and have it display on both screens. Otherwise for the money these were an excellent choice.

Years past I had a similar dual screen portable DVD player that entertained my children not only with watching movies while traveling, but allowed them to connect their hand held games to and play. This is such a great product which my grands now enjoy since receiving this! Easy to install, and the picture quality and sound are awesome. As they become older I'm glad it allows you the capability to play separate or dual screens, and the capability of using headphones. This will entertain them for years to come, I'm sure.

My family took an 11 hour trip in our car without the typical problems you may experienced when the kids are bored. The portable DVD players were easy to install. The straps holding the players were secure and easy to adjust. The setup allowing two movies to be played at the same time saved us from arguments about entertainment. Each player also had its own remote control, so the kids were able to control their players without Mom or Dad having to intervene. You can also use them as stand alone players in the hotel with the individual power outlets. Couldn’t ask for better picture quality or convenience at this price. We are happy to recommend this product!

Was Planning a trip with three youngins under the age of 5. If anyone has kids you know the struggles of finding things for the kids to do, look no further the answer is here. Theses Dual DVD players were exactly what I was looking for, easy on the wallet and conveniently functional. Quality is great and is easy to mount right behind the head rest of the driver and passenger seat. Do yourself a favor and make that struggling long trip a breeze.

The product is great for the money. It allows both dvds to play separate movies, each with their own remote. My only reason for not giving it 5 stars is the volume isn’t very loud. It’s not terrible just hard to hear if you have anything else playing in the car. Lastly the mount on the back of the seat sometimes slides off. Minor issues that wouldn’t stop me from purchasing a second time.

Not the best audio but decent picture quality. Comes with everything you need to strap to the headrest of the car and add some headphones and your riding in peace untill the DVD ends. Easy to operate you can play 2 separate dvd's or link them together and watch the same DVD on both monitor's. Overall satisfied with this product not a bad deal for the price.

These have been great to have! It keeps the kids entertained on long trips. They each have one and can watch independent shows on their own...while we don't have to listen to their shows across the car speakers. They also work outside of the car and have a power cable to use indoors. We use these from time to time as well.

I gave only 3 stars because… 1) we have had to replace these twice already as one of the DVD players seems to always go down. 2) the DVD players are not built to last. The picture color gets distorted randomly 3) using the controls on the player itself are somewhat hard to use and get use to, and impossible for kids younger than 6 to navigate through even with direction. 4) using the remotes are not practical from the front seat of the car when it’s mounted to the headrest because you have to reach into the back set to use them, and you can’t see what you’re doing. But, they work as intended, for a little while…

My great granddaughter & great grandson LOVES this. The picture quality is really good. The sound is very clear. We would like for the sound to be a little bit louder. But it still was great for a 15 month old and a 7 yr old. I'm so glad I purchased this.

Simple to use. The remotes are a little cheap and hard to use. The auto start and memory recall from where the dvd was playing when you unplug or turn off the car is huge! Just used the for three different road trip vacations this year and they are working like a charm! I do think a little too expensive compared to other brands, particularly because this is an in house Insignia brand.

Bought for 2 granddaughters for the main fact that it has the feature of them being able to view 2 movies at once. After 1 trip of not getting them to work, I was livid. My husband told me the issue was I had cords and dvds in wrong device yada yada. Great, so I had that all fixed! 2nd trip, turned it on and the movie was playing from the last place it left off which is sometimes a good thing, but I was pushing several buttons to try to get it to stop and start from the beginning and couldn't figure it out so I had to go back to the setup of the player and turn the memory feature off!!! The remotes are stupid hard to work with and it didn't come with a manual to tell you what the do!! Down in the reviews it asks "would you recommend for a friend"? I'm going to say up here if you are tech savvy, yes. If you just want to stick a dvd in and go, no.

I previously purchased a portable player that was just a bit too big to carry. I got these so they could have dual screens and they strap to the headrests. You can play movies separately on each screen or you can share 1 movie to both. The volume was loud enough. My only issues were that you have to remove the players from the straps to insert and remove a DVD which made it a timely process while on the road. Also, using the remote was a problem as I could only get it to work on 1 screen and figuring out the controls on the players with out the remote was a bit confusing.

Drove 12 hours with 5 kids in the car. This item helped keep my sanity. Took about 15 mins to install and the kids were able to use it without any problem. Very nice in that you can either use it as two separate DVD's when your kids cant agree on a movie, or you can use both monitors to watch the movie simultaneously. The picture on this was very good for the price and the sound was kind of low, but who needs a giant surround sound for a car ride. Would definitely recommend this item to anyone looking for a quick, easy DVD install in you vehicle for a roadtrip.
