    Nice but not durable long term

    We bought these about a year and a half ago. There were great for the first 8 months but as the summer months got hot, the screens started going out. The LED turned blue and purple tinted. Now you can barely make out a clear picture. In fairness, I think I read a Q&A that recommended not leaving them in the car during extreme temperatures but it’s not really realistic to take them in and out every-time you use the car for longer than 20 minutes. It was nice while it lasted but I would definitely get the warranty if I ever bought them again.

    I loved these for the size of screens and the ability to play different movies. However after 1 trip playing 1 dvd, one of the players now will not read ANY disc. So unhappy, this was a Christmas present for my kids for trips.

    Won’t sync one video

    They mount and play well individually but we can’t get them to sync and play one video. Manual is very basic and doesn’t help guide this setup. My review would be much better if I could get this feature working!

    We bought this for our 800 mile road trip with the hope it would distract the kids for some time. We didn’t turn it on until we began our journey and when we did we saw that one of the screens was broken (black and red lines) it was extremely upsetting , considering the fact we had never used it and was brand new! We had to make due with one screen for the remainder of the trip and ultimately returned it when we got back. The other issue with this DVD player is that the sound is not good for highway driving. The maximum volume was hardly audible for the kids sitting in the back seat. I noticed some of the reviews had mentioned this before I purchased it but figured it couldn’t be so bad , but I was wrong. If you are just doing regular street driving the volume is fine , but with the loud sounds of driving on highway it makes a huge difference . We ended up returning it when we got home because it just wasn’t worth the money and what we expected

    disappointed

    We bought two of these sets for our kids to watch shows during drives. The cords are too short for us to use with rear-facing car seats. I have a small 4-door truck and my wife has a 4-door sedan. Nothing big or crazy and the cords are too short. I've tried to order cords to extend the length - and maybe it's my lack of cord knowledge - but nothing has worked so far. I have been into the local Best Buy 3 different times, and no one was any help. Every time they suggest buying something off of Amazon. I have ordered 6 different cables from Amazon and 2 from the Best Buy website. At least the local store took back the extension cords I ordered. This has been a frustration since Christmas - going on 9 months. The remotes also do not work, but it doesn't matter. I can't use them. Maybe in another year both kids will be front facing and I can use them....but seriously, why not make the cords longer or have extenders. Kids are rear-facing for 2 years.

    Bought this product. One screen wasn’t backlit at all. Returned the whole set, got another. The DVD wouldn’t play on the second screen on the new set (yes, I followed the directions). Awful product...two sets in a row.

    Don’t bother buying this .

    Don’t buy this is you like hearing what your watching . The sound is INSANELY low I couldn’t even believe it when I turned it on for the first time . The screen quality isn’t great either . Pretty much nothings great about it . I guess you could use head phones but even so I wouldn’t buy this . It’s nice with the remotes ... the way it attaches to the head rest is cumbersome. You’re not supposed to leave it in a hot car but removing it would take lots of work . Not a fan .

    Doesn’t work without being plugged in!

    I ordered this set for my kids for Christmas, one child is still rear facing so I was attempting to find a set that I could use without the ‘mirror’ option. Everything checked out great, until Christmas morning when we realize that they must be plugged in the car outlet or a outlet in your home at all times to work! I’m so mad bc not only did I need some that I could use seperately, I needed a set that could be used without a plug in the car considering mine does not work!

    So very disappointed with these. Sadly, we purchased two sets of these(one for each vehicle) and they have been junk. They only work part of the time. I tried getting a refund but never got it. Total waste of money.

    Don’t purchase. I purchased for our Thanksgiving trip as our car DVD Player stopped working. The kids used them for a total of 6 hours at the most and by our Christmas trip they didn’t even turn on. The players don’t have power to them, tried everything. A complete waste of my money.

    Total junk! Purchased this in preparation of a family vacation. One player quit after 2 days of use. Now I am getting the run around on returning because I owned it more that 15 days. This is my first and last purchase from bestbuy.com

    I didn't like how you put in the disc and lid barely opens up in order to have room to put the disc in. Didnt play unless it was plugged in>
