Won’t take any Micro SD card, several error Codes when SD card is inserted.

This is a budget-friendly dashcam. It's not going to have many bells and whistles, but it will do it's job well. The product comes with the camera itself, power cord, suction mount, additional mount if you want to buy additional features for the camera, and car adapter. Setup is easy and fairly intuitive, although there is a simple instruction manual i you want to be sure you're doing everything right. The camera will need a micro-SD card to store the videos it captures and this is my first criticism of this product; it's not compatible with all micro-SD cards but the manual doesn't explain what cards it IS compatible with. I got one micro-SD card, it didn't work as it was not compatible, and I lucked out the second time. Still kind of frustrating though. Video footage rom the camera is 1080p quality, so you'll have no problem seeing anything in the footage. I would recommend getting a 256GB micro-SD card as it allots for the most space for storing video footage. Some cards that offer this much space can be more expensive than the camera, but you don't need to go high-end. And even when it's full, the camera can overwrite old footage so you don't have to keep taking out the card and putting everything on your computer. But you likely won't need that footage anyway if you haven't taken it off the camera by the time it's ready to overwrite it. My only other criticisms are that the night vision could be better quality although it's not bad, and that it's overall a more basic camera than what I expected. If you buy this product knowing that, then there's no issue. But I found the lack of an app, the inability to connect to my smartphone, and the limited menu options to be just a tad frustrating. Overall, this is a good dash-cam if you want something simple without much to it. I would recommend this to anyone who just wants a front-facing dashcam as an added insurance policy while driving. However, if you want front camera, rear camera, cabin footage, and additional feature like parking mode (this has the capability but you have to buy another device to enable it), it would be better to look at a different camera.

The Insignia 1080p Dash Camera is the perfect size to fit in your windshield without causing distraction or blocking your field of view. The camera does require the microSD card to be formatted once inserted into the camera. Recording of your trip is great! I would like to point out that the camera lens captures about 140 degree angle. The G sensor is a nice feature that is beneficial especially when driving in cities that have frequent bumper-to-bumper traffic. The night vision feature is very beneficial while driving in back country roads that are not lit with street lamps. I do recommend having the maximum 256gb SD card in the camera for maximum recording capacity. The camera supports 8gb to 256 gb SD cards. Please make sure that your car has a 12 volt accessory port in order to power the camera. Key features is the G sensor for collision detection, wide angle recording lense, night vision, and loop-cycle recording. The cameras operation is very simple to operate even for the dash cam beginner.

Easy to install. Easy set up and I love to fact that the videos are done in MP4 format which makes them easy to save and play. Very good value for the price

This is a very simple and easy to use dashcam. When I received this dashcam I was expecting it to come with all the pieces that I would need to use it (Does not include SD Card). It came with two different mounting options one was a 3M attachment that permanently attaches it to your windshield the other was a suction cup that has a locking mechanism that makes it stay very well to your windshield. The product received three stars because it was a very basic dash cam. I mean it has buttons to navigate the on screen menu. There was no option to connect to a smartphone, there's no app to where the recorded videos could be placed onto a phone for instant access. Instead the Micro-SD card has to be removed and placed into a computer. This is the fourth dashcam I have owned and the video quality is okay, it's just very disappointing that I have to remove the Micro-SD Card in order to view the video on anything other than the tiny screen. Overall I do recommend this product if you're looking for a basic dash cam.

Good product for the price. The picture is not as clear as expected. I am unable to read other vehicles license plates.
