Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the ease of use, the included keyboard, and the tablet's size. Many appreciate the affordable price and find the performance adequate for their needs. However, some customers note that the weight of the device is a drawback, and the limited storage capacity is a concern for some users. The smaller amount of RAM available is also mentioned as a potential limitation.

The computer is really good for what you pay, but if you're planning on using this for a business, this will be too slow.

    Nifty little tablet, but.....

It isn't perfect. You CAN load .exe programs on this, but they will need to be small. This computer does not have blazing speed, even when surfing the internet. I'm not a gamer, so I didn't even try that. The HD screen is nice and clear. The keyboard snaps on and off easily with magnets that grab it when you get it close. It is nice that it does have two USB-A types on the keyboard, but the USB to charge with (on the tablet part), is the newer type USB-C. So you cannot use your older USB devices without an adapter. It is the only USB port on the tablet part. There is a micro SD card slot and micro HDMI port on the tablet part. Now, my issues with this....It is heavy for a tablet. The window on the right side wants to fly out all of the time because you accidentally brushed some key lightly. The cap lock on the right side has odd spacing, you would probably get used to it after using for a while. The keyboard itself felt good, not so small that it is useless, like some smaller tablets with keyboards. The trackpad and screen were not smooth enough for my taste. I prefer a mouse anyway when using a keyboard. As a tablet, it would probably work better with a stylus. The battery is in the tablet part, so when you take the tablet off, it is very heavy and unbalanced. This makes it uncomfortable to hold, as the battery is not centered and the weight is all on one side. If you look at it in the store, make sure you hold it to get the feel for it and see if you can live with this. For this reason alone, I returned it. If you are going to use this more as a computer with the keyboard, go for it. If you are more interested in the tablet part, you might want to search elsewhere.

Potential to be good, but only just "ok"

PROS: - Inexpensive - Detachable keyboard with 2x USB ports - 11.6" screen with 1920x1080 resolution, most tablets in this price range don't have this good of a resolution (usually 1366x768 or 1280x800) - USB 3.0 Type-C for charging and devices. I was able to attach a USB 3.0 docking station and run 2 external monitors with no problem CONS: - 32GB storage. Any Windows 10 device should come with a minimum 64GB storage, period. 32GB just isn't enough and can make it tricky to get big Windows updates - Keyboard feels "cheap" when you pick it up, not really sturdy enough to pick up the keyboard with the tablet attached like you would a laptop - 2GB RAM may have been enough in 2010, but in 2016 not even Chrome or Edge perform well with that little RAM Low-priced Intel Atom devices with low RAM (2GB) and low storage (32GB) have been coming out for years. I took a chance on this tablet given that it has the 1080p screen and USB 3.0 Type-C included. Overall, the device technically does what it sets out to do, it just doesn't do it that well. Performance lags in even Microsoft Edge, and most sites will take longer than usual to load regardless of how fast your WiFi connection is. You'll get better performance out of apps from the Windows Store but most people that will buy this have the expectation of running traditional Windows programs.

This computer is a waste of money and precious time, it’s so slow and has no storage especially after it updates. I’ve tried to figure out how to delete to old version of windows and it’s next to impossible, it’s totally non comprehensive I’ve clicked on every notification to no avail...wish I could take this computer back but it’s been too long. Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your time and $200 on this peice of junk!

after getting it and using for few hours i found the screen is wonderful. i also like how the kegboard clicks very sturdy and just the right amount of pressure. now for the downside his tablet heats up really quick! and once it does performance drops drastically. in the 75 to 80+ celcius range youll see your mhz throttling around 200 to 400 rendering it unusable for simple tasks except reading. its not hard to reach 75+ celcius either while browsing facebook or youtube. so it would of been nice for insignia to have included a larger heatsink or a heatsink at all.

    Awkward to use

I purchased this after trying the 10.1" version and thought the 1080p display would be better. The display IS better but this tablet is a flawed designed. It's awkwardly heavy and unbalanced...the battery is in the wrong place, and it's uncomfortable to hold for extended periods of time. And maybe it's just 11.6" tablets, but, they're not comfortable to use..too large and I would think not very practical for most users. I returned this tablet and went back to the 10.1", as I can manage with the 1280x800 resolution better than 1080 with an uncomfortable form factor.

You'll get more mileage out of this tablet by using it as a doorstop rather than anything else. It's inconceivably slow, bulky and there are NO drivers to support LITERALLY any features that this clunker claims to perform. This is by far the worst piece of junk ever to hit the shelves so fair warning to any consumers thinking you'll save a buck with the price tag (the only thing attractive about it).

I purchased the Insignia Flex Windows 11.6 tablet for my work place. I am the event planer and hostess. The Insignia is the perfect size for my use at the front desk. The speed and expandable memory option is very useful as well. I went into Best Buy with a budget, and no knowledge of what I wanted. I could not be more pleased with my choice of the Insignia Tablet.

I bought this seeing I wanted something for the basic needs such as browsing the internet, streaming movies. The speakers aren't that great so if you are in a loud surroundings you might not here it that well. Overall I bought it because it was on sale for a great price and couldn't pass it up.

Inexpensive to buy, but not to own

I purchased this product to take on trips where I would need a light duty device for communications and accessing cloud based services. Moreover I was looking for something that would not break the bank if broken or stolen. Battery life is acceptable, the power supply small and the device is functional. But to date I have had two problems that have taken hours of time. First, swiping the touch pad often results in a window popping up on the right hand side and cancels the action the I was trying to do. This cannot be disabled by any setting I can find and makes the product frustratingly unreliable. The users manual appears to be a rehash of Windows 10 instructions, little hardware related. Second, the network adapter shuts off without warning. Airplane Mode is set to ON and will not turn off with the toggle on the screen. The WiFi icon is lost from Settings as well. The fix, so far, is to reboot the tablet without the keyboard attached. The bottom line is this, as a freelancer I charge by the hour, so if I have to spend hours tricking the settings or returning a product to the store for support, it is no bargain.

I HATE THIS COMPUTER! I have had it four months and it has stopped reading any USB drives that I use. The memory is TERRIBLE. The mouse pad is super touchy, so I bought a USB wireless mouse and I can't use it now. Over a period of two days of not using my computer and it laying on my bed, it has some how cracked where you connect the tablet to the keyboard and I never take it off the keyboard because I was too afraid of it breaking. It is constantly freezing up on me in the middle of stuff. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND!

    Terrible Product

I was looking for a cheap Windows 10 tablet for just general internet viewing, nothing powerful. I got cheap. There are zero drivers to support the device as everything is generic Microsoft driver. The touchpad was atrocious as the typical touchpad gestures (two finger scrolling, two finger context menu) failed. Even using one finger just to move the mouse around caused a side bar called "Share" to constantly pop up. I looked on google on how to disable it; seems like it doesn't exist. The fact that Microsoft Edge also could not handle more than one tab open was a problem. Tried Windows Update manually, not help there either for driver or performance. It also isn't good when I returned the product that the employee (who also rang me up) said "I didn't want to say anything, but I've returned a lot of these". Do not buy this product.

This product is just terrible. It stopped working correctly with in 3 months of getting it. First the screen kept glitching and then the network adapter inside broke and now i cant use it unless i buy a network adaptor. Its slow and makes working on school work very hard. I bought this thinking it would be great a tablet and a laptop but both parts suck i wish i never bought it.

This is a great productivity tablet and the price is outstanding. I concur with the problem that a reviewer wrote below with regard to the Charm Windows popping out on the right. I noticed that was a common occurrence when using the keyboard, not sure what key I'm hitting or if it's something else, however, it was nice to see an Insignia rep respond to the problem (below) and now I'm hoping that they also post a fix. At any rate, this tablet is great and I'll definitely keep Insignia in mind when shopping for my next tech purchase.

This device is a great deal for very light use. Being an IT professional, it is constantly using 100 % CPU and memory with only a tab or two open just browsing Facebook. The screen does look amazing, and Youtube video playing is fine.
