    Although I was only in need of a cat-5 cable the length I needed was not available. The sales associate was well versed on the product and explained that the cat-6 cable would work fine.

    I trust the insignia brand and they put their quality into something so small as this cord. Even has caps over the ends to keep them from snagging and breaking.

    Typical Ethernet cable. If you are ever running audio or video through a wall to a TV or some equipment always run Ethernet too.
