This is due to the fact that while using this with my Polk subwoofer, it produced a very loud hum anytime the subwoofer was powered on and the cable itself is of very poor quality. It will get you by if you have not other options, but I wouldn't get it by choice if there were better options.

The insignia cable is a good quality cable at significant savings compared to other brands IE monster cable, rocketfish, etc etc. Its long enough to accommodate must users set-ups without stretching or re-configuring. Definitely a good buy for the price
