That being said, the level of cold dropped off sharply within months of buying. Sometimes the freezer is cold. Sometimes everything is soft serve. Its my first Insignia major appliance and may well be my last, ESPECIALLY since the prices have gone up!!!

Get it from Best Buy! We originally went with a big box store. When we opened the appliance it was smashed and dented. Then they wouldn't pick it up. Enter Best Buy... We had a working Fridge in less than 24 hours. They earned a customer for life.

The problem is the unit makes intermittent sounds--clicking on occassion and other times making an odd moaning sound. Annoying but doesn't appear to affect function.
