Ours also keeps getting icicles though it had not been left open and is set to the suggested setting. Best Buy sent out a tech who just shook his head and said, "it is what it is, they don't make refrigerators like they use to. New ones have very thin shell. He suggested filling the freezer as much as possible to help absorb the annoying sounds.
