It does what it's supposed to do lol. My main issues are the side shelves are not very sturdy and they can crack quite easily. It's also a tad smaller than I thought it would be.

    Very loud; poor service

We have had this fridge for about 5 months. It works as it should but makes a lot of noise--moaning, creaking, whining--24/7. It is enough to wake people up at night and interrupt conversations taking place in another room. It is not the compressor cutting on, a noise you might expect. We have a service plan; technician said that the noise was "normal". It is not normal. Multiple calls to Best Buy service have produced no response at all. Definitely would not recommend this fridge. We were considering buying a replacement through Best Buy, but service has been so poor that we will not be doing so.

I purchased this refrigerator to replace an old refrigerator from my Condo. It works well so far. The problem I have is the noise, it moans and groans. I can’t sleep at night! Although noise is expected, this noise is out of this world.

    Normal or a lemon?

As I had this delivered and hooked up only a few hours ago, I realize this review may be premature. But I could get no one, not Best Buy or the manufacturer or the Geek Squad (they passed me around for 90 minutes on the phone. I spoke with 8 different people) to tell me if the following is normal. The sides of the fridge are warm, almost hot. I've never experienced that with a refrigerator in my life. But, sure enough, in the troubleshooting section of the guide it says the exterior may be warm. Still, hard as that is to believe, and not being able to be sure whether it was merely warm or full on hot, I called for reassurance. I didn't get any. I don't want a refrigerator that warms up my kitchen. I can't believe this is normal. I'm going to wait 24 hours and if it's still warm to hot on the outside, it will be going back. Anyone experience such a thing?

    Dead after 4 years

Fridge died on me after only 4 years. Even worse about insignia fridge is no third party repairmen have parts for it so your at the will of best buy repair who charge $120 just to come out and diagnose it! Then to have it fixed is EXTRA! I wasn't willing to take the risk of throwing away $120 just to find out it was an expensive repair so I'm ditching the insignia and putting that repair money towards a new whirlpool fridge. When you buy a new appliance I don't think your happy with it dying after 4 years that's a fail

    Breaks easily

I bought this fridge and had it set to be delivered and installed. When it got here there was a major dent in the front and the shelves fell off. Now just today the second one got here to replace the first and all the shelves were broken inside and it wobbles. Stay tuned for what happens with the 3rd one. On the plus side it kept my food cold on the shelves still intact and it has a cool blue light.

    Looks nice, but . . .

This refrigerator looks great inside and out, but that's where the good things end. The plastic shelves in the door are cheap and one broke after a couple of months with the refrigerator. I tried to order a replacement, but it was out of stock for 4 months. After that I gave up. One year and one month into owning the refrigerator, the control board died. It's impossible to find parts for this refrigerator and Geek Squad charges double what a local repair company costs. Better buy the extended warranty if you are willing to take a chance on an Insignia product. I would suggest going name brand. At least you can get the parts you need.

I keep thinking that there's an animal in my house because of the constant whining, mooing, groaning noises. The noise is constant and I really hope there isn't something wrong with it.

Used to be they would remove all packing materials from inside frig andalso reverse the doors to open the other way. no more, they just want to make more money and stick you with the extra work.

    Extremely Disappointed

I had never bought an Insignia appliance before this and with the fridge working so poorly less than a year into ownership I probably never will again. This refrigerator has been nothing but a headache for my wife and I. The bottom portion freezes everything even on the lowest setting, which has caused countless messy and sticky soda pop can explosions. The shelves are made of cheap plastic and we've broken them simply by trying to remove it so it could be cleaned after another soda can explosion. While the bottom half keeps freezing everything, the top half doesn't get cold enough, and we've had meat spoil on multiple occasions because of this. Just an awful experience, I really wish I had bought something better. I have a warranty repair order scheduled but from reading the other reviews it looks like this is just a crappy refrigerator so I don't expect that there's any way to "fix" it. I so badly just want to return it and get something better!!!

We bought Thai refrigerator 2 years ago. The delivery from Best Buy was not great. Had to have someone come back to fix the hinge swing along with other things. The seal on the freezer was bit great. Not even two years later and it was make loud noises. Now it doesn’t even work. Very disappointing.

    Wrong dimensions

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I bought this fridge because it had good specs and features for the price. However, the dimensions for this fridge are inaccurate. The height to the top of the fridge is 66 inches (even measured by our delivery man). According to bestbuy.com and the sale label in-store, it was 64.688 inches which is not correct. I had to refuse my shipment and wasted my time because of the inaccuracies of your website.

    Noise is driving me crazy

I've had this fridge for 2 weeks, and the noise it makes is driving me insane. The fridge constantly makes a noise that I can only describe as a distressed cat, especially after you use it. Prepare for meowing/moaning from the fridge for at least 20 minutes afterwards. Having to listen to this fridge all day has easily been the worst part of quarantine. Do not buy this fridge if you're looking for something quiet. I am regretting my purchase.

Real Bucket of turds... First one didn't even work at all and the replacement only lasted 2-1/2 years. LETS PLEASE START MAKING STUFF IN AMERICA I will pay more if it will last 10 to 20 years like stuff used to before it all came from the Orient.
