    Freezer Stopped Working After Less Than A Month

    When we first got the refrigerator, the freezer didn't seem to get very cold. Within 15 days, the items in the freezer began to thaw. We turned the freezer to a higher setting but items were still thawing. Since it is outside the 15 day purchase window, Best Buy is going to send a technician instead of swapping out the refrigerator.

    Great fridge starting out, then all sudden. It started leaking water from the inside. Probably just a defect.

    I loved the style and size of this refrigerator - and the price was just right for a second refrigerator to store drinks mainly, and around Thanksgiving, etc., to store all the casseroles, etc., that we make for all the company!

    I purchased a brand new fridge (not out of the box) mid-October 2021 which was delivered in early December (2 months delay due to supply chain crisis). The fridge ran for few days, started cooling on Day 1, but then stopped cooling. All the food in the freezer and fridge rotted. It stopped cooling totally on Day 3 - no cooling at all. Horrible experience!

    The refrigerator was delivered to my husbands office on time and without incident. They had to bring the refrigerator up a flight of stairs and remove the old one. Went smoothly and they cleaned up behind themselves.

      -Move the food packages or remove some food.
      -Adjust the shelves properly.
      -Clean the door gaskets.

    The freezer went out after 6 months and the fridge shortly thereafter. The follow-up to get a replacement has been a horrific challenge with neither Best Buy nor Insignia taking responsibility and a lot of passing the buck. Still not replaced.

    Ghost Cow Fridge?

    I thought I would save money with this very affordable fridge. Fortunately, it fell apart soon enough that I was able to return it and get something better. Besides falling apart, it made weird sounds that resembled cows mooing. I kid you not. Do you want to put beef in a freezer that moans like a cow ghost?

    Very disappointed with the customer service. Manager said she would call me when she saw how upset I was about all my food spoiling, but she never did, it's been over a week! This is the first time I give ANYTHING from Best Buy a negative review. I hope it's the last since I have always been very happy with my purchases there.

    Dead after one year.

    Broke down after 11 months of use. Freezer started pumping warm air. Ref section was barely cool. Called Best Buy 4 days after the one year window. Got transferred to Insignia for customer service. Was on hold (dead air) for about 15 minutes. Not one person picked up the line, it just went to hold with dead air the whole time (it sounded like I was being recorded though). Gave up and hung up.

    Since I bought this fridge, I've noticed this fridge doesn't cool well. The freezer ain't that good either, I bought ice cream I put in the freezer , and it doesn't freeze. Even after 12 hours the ice cream still feels soft like soft served. Please don't buy this junk! It's not good at all.

    Bought one for the office and it worked great so I bought a second one. It doesn’t keep a consistent temperature like the other one.

    Freezer fan broke after about 1 year

    Bought this February 2019. Quite frankly, it was a nice smaller fridge to handle overflow of food and beverages etc. Just realized yesterday that the freezer fan broke and obviously we’re about 2 months out of our 1 yr warranty. If you plan to spend $500+ on a fridge like this then I would look at a different product unless you want to spend more money down the road to replace it. Buyer beware!

    I bought this fridge, and while switching which way the door opens, the plastic bussing cracked in half. It is impossible to find the replacement piece online. Insignia will not respond to my email. I also called 3 times and waited over an hour and never spoke to a human. I could not return the item because i opened the box 15days after purchase. All im saying is that if your fridge needs parts, you are out of luck.
