I have not install batteries so not sure how well that part works. Only issue is when removing the full trash bags it is difficult at times especially when too full.

Its sensor is super slow so if you have something dripping or awkward to hold onto the lid never opens before the stuff has slipped or slopped out. Waste of money. I now just leave the top open all the time.

I like the size and everything else about it. I do not think it would be worth any where near the full purchase price of $159 but I paid less that half that and kept it even though it has dents.

Defective sensor

Waited until today to buy "D" batteries. Batteries were placed in correctly (checked it twice) and the green sensor didnt turn on. Defective item. 2 star because the pockets were deep. Returned it and got my money back.

However it doesn’t work. I put batteries in it and it doesn’t work. I took those batteries out and put another 3 brand new batteries in it and all it does is blink. I can not get it to automatically open or close. It won’t even open or close when you push the buttons on the lid it self.

Havent used long enough to know about battery life, but for buying it on sale, it was worth it.

I had purchased this same garbage can under a different branding on Amazon a few years back. The loss broke after about a year. I found this one on Best Buy for such a great deal, I couldn’t pass it up.
