Large 18 gallon stainless steel trash can with the capacity to contain recyclables and garbage. It requires 3 D size batteries that’s sold separately. I use the on/off switch because the lid will rise automatically and the kids treat it like a toy! I would recommend this product.

The sensor opens when I don’t need it to (i.e. walking by), and doesn’t open when I need it to (i.e. wet hands full of scraps). It also goes through batteries quickly bc of all the unnecessary opening and closing. I wanted this for the stainless steel aesthetic to match my kitchen, which it does very well and I love the spacious 2-in-1 combo, but the sensor not working makes the price & value not worth it.

I like it makes life easier. My only complaint is that it doesn't have a power supply to recharge the battery. It's basically sixty bucks(Pale Blue) more for some good lithium batteries to make this work well. But other than it recognizes swipes, and has a separator for both sides. We'll see how long it lasts.

I purchased this on sale and it was the best purchase to-date! The can uses 3 “D”batteries. I’ve been using mine for 3 weeks with no issues. It’s nice not having to touch the lid when my hands are full. I had guests over for Christmas and they loved the ease and convenience of it. I would recommend placing the trash can away from an area with a lot of traffic as the lid will open if you get too close to the sensor. The separate trash bins are great. I no longer have to take up a lot of space for recycle items.

I watched this go on sale every month for a couple years wondering if could just use one large trash bag instead of two small ones, the way it is only promoted. Finally took the plunge and YES! Very easily, with the use of a very small screwdriver. Step 1 , take off lid. 2, remove the two liner rings, that simply lift off, and discard. 3, remove the two small screws that hold the middle divider in place. Then slide out middle divider and discard all removed pieces. Conversion done. I use 21 gallon bags I purchased on Ąmązøn, 45 bags for $ 11.44 very good quality. Also bags from your local store that fit trash compactors work well but cost twice as much. Love our new trash can!
