A fair warning that when you first boot the speaker up, it is at quite a loud volume, which did startle me!

However the sound is horrible - it merely makes it louder than the TV speakers. Luckily this is for a small bedroom TV - if you're using it for a small Living Room or something like that, I'd pass on this sound bar. You can't expect much for $60.

Sitting right behind and beneath my monitors though it is great! Simulates theater quality nicely.

However on the TV jacks sub standard as are the TV speakers. Also while plugged into cable box can not play DVDs or Roku channels without changing jacks to the TV. Pain in the Asp. Would not buy again. Though probably cheap TVs fault. Also the separate remote is just one more to fumble for. Should work with the TV controller but doesn't.

It took some time figuring out how to get it to work properly (Bios change on a sound setting). Works like a charm. Very good sound for its size. The remote is very handy

Mainly due to being in an apartment so space is at a premium. However a mini and compact one? Figured I'd give it a try. IDK what to really expect from like a top grade premium model, like Bose or JBL, but I merely wanted to enhance and amplify my TV's sound and this more than adequately does that. Considering that I also got it on sale for only $60 I'm more than happy with this. I suppose if you're using it in a bigger space you'll be better off with quite simply a bigger sound bar, perhaps even one with a subwoofer, but for a smaller space this is actually quite excellent.

They were for soft music at work, sort of background type stuff. But there was always a noticeable "hum" every time I listened to them. Then I saw this Insignia sound bar on sale at Best buy. Why not?!! I was pleasantly surprised at the sound, the range, the controls, and no humming. Plus small enough for easy placement and powerful enough when other people get off work...Bam!!! Love the remote so I don't have to reach for speaker controls.
