Was hoping a standalone soundbar would significantly boost the audio quality, and this one was on sale, so I figured, why not? Unfortunately, the speaker sounded worse than the TV — even with the TV's busted speaker. Trying to adjust the equalizer didn't help things: There's only three presets (clear voice, normal and music), and none of them sounded particularly great. Being able to manually adjust the equalizer based on frequency might have improved things. Then again, the speakers inside the sound bar sound like they're cheap, so maybe it wouldn't. In any case, I took this (and the broken TV set) back. Couldn't justify keeping it around even as a Bluetooth speaker. It just didn't sound great.
