Easy hookup with 3 choices. I'm only experiencing a little difficulty in syncing the volume control with my cable/TV remote but I'll figure it out eventually. Oh, and 3 choices of sound (theater, sports, or talk) are great!

It was ok. the hdmi arc port worked with a roku tv remote for volume control, but I returned it because it was a bit too tinny sounding for me

It's good with a great price! I do have problems sometimes where it won't turn on when I'm in my chair. So the distance on it isn't that great.

Televisions these days come with high pitched weak sound. I purchased this to have better sound for my apartment bedroom. It fits the bill. For those of you that are looking for big sound you need a system with a subwoofer. If you just want to have better sound, I recommend this.

Really liking this sound bar so far! I bought it for my 43" TCL Roku tv and it was super easy to set up and connect with HDMI. It comes with a remote but there's not much need for it-- the sound bar can be controlled with the Roku tv remote. The sound quality is just what I wanted, great for listening to music and watching movies!

This is surprisingly loud for its size and price point. It's a great supplement to the budget smart TVs that have terrible on-board speakers, for those of us with hearing difficulties! Using the HDMI Arc Is almost essential for ease of use, using the optical audio cable did not carry sound from all sources on the TV.

This was a tough review to write. Pretty much every insignia product if a purchased has exceeded my expectations. We wanted a relatively inexpensive soundbar for a mid level TV we just bought for for a vacation house that we use infrequently. Something that will make the explosions in an action movie pop a little bit without shaking the entire house with bass if other people are in bed. Yes, it does sound better than the stock TV speakers. But only a little. This sound bar really doesn't deliver any bass or low frequencies at all. It's really just mid range and treble. I tried re watching a similar reference portion of a movie with the bass low and the bass maximized and there was very little difference in sound. There was a portion of the movie where there is dramatic, subtle contunuous bass occurring in the movie. Unfortunately this insignia soundbar did not pick up any of that sound at all. But when I used an old Yamaha 106 soundbar that I had up there as a reference and replayed that segment of the movie, the Yamaha picked up the bass very clearly. The news mode did work to increase the voice component, but the theater mode didn't do anything of significance to enhance the sound of the movie. I wasn't expecting this to be as good as the Yamaha, but I expected it to be better than it was.. If you need a relatively inexpensive soundbar to increase the volume of what you are listening to, this would be a decent choice. But if you are expecting dynamic bass and real enhancement to movie soundtracks, unfortunately this will not be the best choice. Keep in mind this is a sound bar that can be purchased for under $60 when it is on sale, so it's not going to set this standard for audio quality. So if you just need it to make your TV louder it's a good choice. If you're expecting enhancement to music and soundtracks of movies, you will probably be disappointed.. Also be sure to follow the instructions exactly when you set this up.. Most soundbars you can just plug and play but this one required me to follow every step in sequence (I used optical, not hdmi to connect)in order for it to work the 1st time I set it up.

This works well enough, we knew we were not buying a high end sound bar. It projects the sound better than the TV and sounds good. It was fairly easy to mount and connect. We got waht we expected and what we paid for ...

I bought this as an alternative to buying speakers for my computer. It sounds acceptable, especially for the price, further reduced as an open box. My only issue is that it’s longer than comparable sound bars so it takes up more space on a desktop.

This sound bar has an “auto power off” feature that shuts it off when it no longer detects audio. The problem is, it doesn’t automatically turn back on when audio is present again. Meaning you have to manually press the power button on the unit or its remote to thrn it on again. And the power on signal apaprently can *only* come from the factory insignia remote. My tv remote was programmed and can control volume/mute/etc on the sound bar just fine, but cannot turn it on. Which means i have to use two remotes to use my TV. I even tried the “remote learn” feature on the sound bar: with that, my tv remote can shut the soundbar off… but still doesnt power it on. It’s infuriating). (Note: i cannot use HDMI/CEC, allegedly that works better I’ve tried both optical and 1/8” inputs)
