I thought I may need more volume but as it turns out, the T.V. is able to supply enough volume for my unique application. However, I did install the soundbar to get an idea on its performance, and based on my setup, this soundbar was able to generate about the same volume as the t.v. alone. So, I opted to not use the soundbar but would recommend to anyone who may be aiming at overall appearance.
