The sound is crisp and clear but I wouldn't use this in a living room setting, I don't think it has the chops to really make a movie pop. However, if you plan on using this in a single room to augment the TV speakers then I suppose it works pretty well except that I keep having issues with the ARC function. The soundbar will randomly disconnect and I keep having to power on and off the soundbar to reestablish a connection, It's only happened using Netflix so far but I'm going to try it on other streaming services and see if I have the same issues. My biggest gripe is that it won't auto connect when I power on the TV as most ARC devices tend to do, my TV does have eARC but this doesn't seem to help with the connection issue. I'd return it if I wasn't one day shy of the return window but I suppose there is always the optical connection if the ARC issue doesn't go away. My suggestion, don't cheap out and get insignia go ahead and spend the extra 20-50 and get a better brand instead.

My first soundbar and I had higher expectations than what I received. I agree with other reviews that Theater mode allows the best sound experience. Will be upgrading in the future and pass this one on to kids.
