I had basic computer speakers, however, my cat decided to break one side. I bought these a temporary replacement and as expected, they are low sound quality. They reach a decent volume, but they are just as staticky as my old ones, if not worse. The sound isn't very crisp and deep, just flat tones. In my opinion, you're better off getting extremely cheap ones from a Chinese website than getting these as they sound exactly the same. If you want decent speakers, you'll have to spend at least $100. Sony makes some nice and affordable ones.

I absolutely love these speakers! The sound is very clear, and the volume can be very loud. Between these and the Logitech speakers, this is definitely the better.

These speakers are great for someone on a budget! They give you decent sound for only $20. Easy to set-up and use. You can't go wrong with these!

For about $23.00 with tax you can ask for a better set of speakers, theyre self powered which lets you control the volume from your desktop and your speaker for optimal sound. Also they are nice and slim so you should be able to fit it even on the most crowded desk, theyre light in wieght, very sleek and ellegant looking which would match most of todays PC's color ( black ) all around you can beat the quality for the price, just remmember to turn them off when you turn the PC off so they dont burn out!

Very good quality and price. Didn't want to spend a lot for speakers especially after having just purchased new pc. Insignia was an excellent option. Clear sound, easy setup.

My previous speakers were something of a, creative solution so I wasn't at all surprised when the left was starting to give me no sound at all. Frustrated, I knew that I needed a quick replacement and my current financial situation wouldn't allow me to spend any more than $20, $25, maybe $30 tops. So these Insignia Speakers caught my eye and by no means is Insignia a bad brand. In actuality, it's a brand created within Best Buy and do a great job for anyone who's not looking to spend a lot of money on the unnecessary. I just needed something that would me to hear the audio of videos or music on my computer and man do these do the job. The common complaint I read about in the reviews is that the volume knob is a little tough to turn and this is true. But other than that, if you need some speakers for a low price and for non-professional work? Look no further than these.

This is the second set of speakers that I purchased. I've owned one pair for about two years. I just purchase this new pair (same brand/model) because my son was always borrowing mine. Got it as a gift for him, and he loves them too. Good quality and great price.

The speakers are inexpensive, yet they work well. I use them on three different devices and have no complaints.

At first, I was a little hesistant because I used to own a Insignia portable CD player back when they were in and it was cheap. My thing was to find desktop computer speakers with good quality because i'm particular about sound quality, but they had to be affordable. When I got the speakers they were definitely better quality than the old Dell speakers that I bought when I built my computer, which was kind of shocking because they sound better than I expected. There are speakers that cost more that are way better but these are solid, especially if you're on a budget.

The speakers sound good and much better than the built in monitor speakers. Can't beat the price! I listen to YouTube with them.

My old monitor died. I was given a new one by my aunt but had no speakers in it like my old one. I was need of sound but being on a budget I couldn't afford much. Finding good speakers on a budget is hard and took some time. After doing my homework and reading a lot of reviews i thought i'd give these a try. I was surprised when i plugged them. They offer good sound for every day use.

These are good speakers for the price. They're not hi-fi overall, but you can't expect that for the price. I bought these to replace a pair that were perfectly horrible. These are ok. Just a couple of minor points. The speakers are tall and thin and very tippy. If you just brush against them they will fall over. It doesn't seem to hurt them so it's not a big deal. The volume button is small and hard to turn if you have big fingers. As a number of other reviewers have pointed out, there is a very bright light on the front that goes on when you turn on the power. Just stick a piece of electrical insulating tape over it and it won't bother you. Four stars.

Another simple and cheap review here, nothing special here, works great to shut that annoying coworker up that complains about not having speakers connected to their PC.

These speakers are worth the purchase. They are exactly what I was looking for in a desk-top speaker: price, quality, appearance and sound. Simple to set up and blend right in with the computer set-up.

New interns and a lot of training video, quick solution for a small group learning and really cheap

Looking for speakers to be able to adjust computer sound. These fit my needs exactly! They are low profile with BIG sound that can be adjusted for listening pleasure.

I bought these for my son's computer and the sound is so good I am often telling him to turn it down. The price is very good and the quality is worth every penny.

For Christmas, I got a 19" TV for my bedroom but the sound was very tinny and when our furnace kicks on you have to blast the sound. I bought these speakers to boost the sound quality and they are doing a great job. I just plugged it in and hook it up to the headphone jack on the TV. The sound quality is far better than what my TV offered. Now when the furnace kicks on, we still have to turn the volume up a bit but not nearly as much as we had to without them. I am quite satisfied with these speakers.

was looking for inexpensive speakers for my husband to use on his computer... these speakers work well for him. does not take up too much space and the sound quality is good.
