No frills speakers. It does what it needs to and that's produce audible sound. I'm satisfied with this purchase.

I had a problem with the sound on my computer. I called and talked to a young man in the computer dept. A.J. He talked me through a process to update my drivers, still nothing, then he recommended that I come in and buy some new speakers, I did and it solved my problem. While I was thanking A.J. for his help, he said that when he talked me through the updating process, he was no at a computer, wow, his knowledge and professional assistance blew my mind. It was as if he was standing at my computer doing it for me. What a smart guy. I was so please, BEST BUY, is my electonics store from now on. Thanks Best Buy, and Thanks A. J.

We needed a new pair for our computer, one with a headphone jack on them for external listening. I had my eye on a $30 pair on Amazon, but happened to be in a Best Buy today, and saw these ones for half the price. Well, I've used Insignia brand stuff before, and it was generally passable, and I'm no audiophile -- as long as it sounds decent enough, I'm happy (for reference, I've never owned a pair of headphones that cost more than $15...cheap Sony earbuds have always been fine for me). So, not having very high expectations, and seeing the cost, I eagerly snatched these up. DON'T DO IT. I got them home, and plugged them in, eager to hear sound out of my computer again. IT WAS TERRIBLE. The sound quality is tinny and bland. I wasn't expecting much out of these, but I was thinking that the speakers would at least be able to make a natural enough sounding noise, at least as much as my $10 earbuds could do. HORRIBLE quality. I will be getting better ones soon. Basically, I would only recommend these if you ABSOLUTELY need sound, and can't afford anything better.

Was actually in store for a mouse and found these versatile book shelf speakers for a tablet. Great sound quality for the price!
