Pairing with the subwoofer took more tries than expected, but eventually worked. The subwoofer is so weak, it's hard to tell if I was actually turning up the bass. I felt the subwoofer surround shaking, so it is definitely working. I "might" be spoiled by my higher end speakers. Pros: The sound is quite very tinny and lacks midrange. This is not a high end speaker by any means, but it is louder and better than most TV speakers. For the price, it's hard to beat. Mounting holes on the back make this a nice option, especially if you get sound bar mounts for a cantilevered or wall-mounted TV. Cons: No auto-shutoff for either the soundbar or subwoofer; that seems like a HUGE miss. You have to have either a separate remote to shut it off or a universal remote; forget using a single Tivo remote. Sound quality is not great. The build quality does not seem great; I'm expecting these speakers will blow at some point soon.
