Works as advertised, but unimpressive sound

I paid $59 (listed for $149). Even at that price, I was unhappy with the sound quality. Hooking it up to the TV was easy, and the product worked as advertised, but the sound was not really noticeably better than the TV sound, and the subwoofer was anemic, even on max setting. I I returned this and purchased an open box Samsung R650, which, while costing more, is a far superior item. The Samsung was a discontinued floor model, originally listed for $399. I picked it up for $149, the original price of this insignia.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.if you dont really care about bass, then its pretty loud, lacking very badly in the bass department the subwoofer is very dissapointing, and since its bluetooth and you can put it anywhere, but be warned it says 30 feet but thats a joke 6 feet and it cuts out and in from loosing connection.

Trouble with unit pairing to Bluetooth

Instructions say it works best with an optical cable however the unit doesn’t come with one. That is optional but no one tells you this fact until after the box is opened and you start to install.

Thought the settings could be changed or maybe with a cable. Reminder this is a Bluetooth speaker.... Would return this one if I could . Go with a Samsung speaker. A bit more pricey but quality is guaranteed .

I can feel it vibrating but I get no sound at all. The sound bar itself is just fine. Sounds like the TV speakers though so I've actually turned them off.
