We got it at the $90 sales price but I'd likely still be happy at the original price. We had a 1000W dvd carousel surround sound home theater system in connected to our master bedroom tv (our old LR system and we weren't using the surround). Complete overkill for where it was. This takes up way less space on the dresser and has more than enough sound for watching a movie or tv.

Works good when it will turn on.

Moved the sub to the corner so its not in the way. Far superior to TV only sound and the lack luster audio that came with the rig.

It's good for that... and it was on sale and he's happy! If your looking for something to get into a theater experience this is not it....look at some of the better atmos bars for that but expect to pay more. I would recommend it for a basic improvement in sound if thats what you're looking for....but It's not worth paying more the $79 if you can buy it on sale.
