The sound was already good, but for watching movies I needed more theatre-like sound. I was looking for a good product at a good value. This definitely was affordable and sounds good. It's not the best set out there, but I did not want to spend hundreds more. If you're looking to upgrade the sound without spending a ton of money, this will surely fit the bill.

You CANNOT beat Insignia Products at the Price

Solid Soundbar

Awesome budget speaker

I used to have the Insignia mini speaker, and I thought that was great. Then I hooked this up to the same TV, and the sound was even better. The subwoofer makes all the difference. Also, the remote on this speaker works much better than the one that came with the mini speaker. For just a little more, this is a much better value. There is an annoying light on the back of the subwoofer (I have this in my bedroom), but you can cover that with electrical tape.
