Save your money !! The HUM is torture

The first was a Polk I got around 4 years ago and the Polk did wonders for my 73" Mitsubishi. Soooo.....I had recently purchased a 55" 4K TV and the TV sound really sucked (don't almost all TV speakers though). Well I bought the Insignia 2.1 with the sub and it is very disappointing. I wish I had checked the reviews before I bought it. The sound is mediocre at best, sometimes I can't tell if the TV speakers are firing instead of the sound bar, the bass is almost non existent and the background HUM is terrible. I didn't open the box to plug it in until I was past the grace return period and boy do I regret that. I realize this sound bar is entry level or for a lack of a better term "bottom shelf" but this sound bar's quality is maybe a D+ and basically useless with the background HUM. At this point I will probably either give it away or see what I can get on Craigslist for it. And even then I would feel guilty unloading it on someone.

Perfect value for the price

Bluetooth connection works great, but you need to be with-in 40 feet and direct line of sight to avoid it cutting in and out. Remote sub is better than I expected for a little 8". Perfect for an entry level entertainment setup. (Highly recommend using the TOSlink over the RCA input)

Not bad for a 1 speaker surround
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This was my first attempt at a surround speaker, my only issue is my TV (insignia) does not have the fiber optics hook up so, I had to use audio cables and the TV will not play sound internally without the surround being on......this is the only draw back I can see .......so when I get another new TV I will make sure it has fiber optic connection
