I returned this sound bar and purchased an upgrade. Save your money and go for the upgrade to begin with. Also this was not compatible with the main remote and you needed to use 2 for the TV.

I used the only cable that came in the package, a 3.5mm plug. All I got was a loud buzz, had to return it. Maybe the optical cable would have worked, but none was included.

I didn't want a gigantic sound bar and at its size, it fits perfectly in my entertainment center. I was able to set it up in under an hour. The sound is clear and can get very loud. The subwoofer is slightly bulky, but I was able to tuck it in behind the TV so that it wouldn't be visible to company. And it comes with its own remote! (The only issue I have is that the bar and the sub each have to be plugged in to an outlet. I have limited outlets to use, but overall, that's not even a real issue.) You can't go wrong with this Soundbar/Subwoofer. Quality/Value make it one of the best available.
