Bought this item for a laptop HD and love it. Very lightweight, strong and slim. Recommended

Works as it should, I’m I’m using with a evo850 2tb ssd. Comes with the cable.

EASY TO SET UP AND USE.. I INSTALLED AN OLD LAPTOP HARD DRIVE AND USE IT FOR BACKUP DRIVE. IT WORKS WELL.

Fits my old MacBook drive no problem. Easy to set up, its all plug n play.

Solid- lightweight, USB 3.0-3.1 capable. super fast data transfer using an older i3 on a USB 3.0 port. no special drives. has a little screwdriver to open and close the case. (won’t slip apart).

I got double duty out of this product. I put an SSD in it and copied the original drive to the SSD, then I swapped the SSD and installed the original HD into this enclosure. So now I have a SSD for my laptop and the original drive is not my USB Backup drive. One thing is to pay close attention to which end you remove the screws to install the drive in this enclosure.

Insignia 2.5 serial ATA hard Drive enclosure. This was actually pretty well built product my only problem with it was the drivers. I went to my Windows 10 pc did a format no problem and them tried connecting it to the Nvidia Shield TV to expand the storage, but all I got was a reboot on the drive enclosure. After playing around with for a day I bought a different brand that had the Linux driver and it worked fine. If you are just after a back up device and using ext Fat or NTFS this device will work perfect.

This product was really easy to use. When my computer died I was able to take out the hard disk and use this product to transfer all my files to my new computer. I'm not at all technically proficient, but the detailed instructions with illustrations worked perfectly. The package even includes the screwdriver you'll need to remove the hard disk and put it in their device. Saves $$$ when you consider how much a data recovery service costs.

Need a USB 3 hard drive and already had a drive. Enclosure was easy to mount drive into and works well.

When my Compaq CQ-615DX notebook finally died after nine years of operational use, I had to retrieve the data from the hard drive. My main concern was the actual process of trying to preserve the hard drive itself. I came across a YouTube video about an hard drive enclosure that could preserve my old hard drive and also could be use as an extra external hard drive to backup data.

I bought this to use as an external drive using an old laptop 2.5 inch laptop drive I had laying around and I found it extremely easy to assemble with the drive. I have swapped drives a couple of times to format them for other devices and the process is very easy. Highly recommended, it’s simple, inexpensive and works great.

Excellent 2.5" HD/SSD SATA3 case : robust by using aluminum, just 2 screws to access the HD/SSD.

I’ve bought 4 of these over the last couple of years and put 1tb hard drives inside them, which is a great way to provide extra storage without taking up too much space on the desk. The case is also sturdy and stays cool. Also, I recommend putting 7mm 2.5 hard drives inside these enclosures, since a 9.5mm hard drive barely fit.

Small and compact. Fits neatly while being hard wired to laptop.
