    Bought this to enclose an SDD drive so my wife could boot her new iMac from it instead of the iMac's deplorably slow internal drive. Yes, this external USB3 enclosure works as her main drive, and the iMac's internal drive as the backup. So far so good, and, given the drive I installed easily inside it, so far so fast!

    I bought this after I replace the hard drive in my laptop with an SSD. This is a great option to not have tons of loose hard drives laying around. I only wish that there wasn't a proprietary USB cable. Although you can find anything on the internet now so I suppose it wouldn't be difficult to replace. Great price too!
