Case was easy to set up and worked well. Nice size case for transporting.

My new laptop came with a 1 TB DATA drive at 5400 rpm. Even though the computer is fast, the drive slowed it down. I had an SSD in my old drive that was not compatible in the new laptop, but this was worth it. I do find it interesting that external drives are cheaper than the internal drives. I don't understand that, but I wanted the performance!!

This Hard Drive enclosure is perfect! I bought it after my Xbox One X broke and I wanted a faster SSD to run my games off of my old Xbox One. I’ve been using it constantly for months now and I haven’t had any sort of issue. I would definitely recommend it to anyone that needs it.

Very happy with the performance and ease of use. It is being used for a hard drive that I replaced in a laptop.

Laptop had a major hardware crash. I was able to save my work by removing the HardDrive and converting it to a portable harddrive in order to transfer the files to my other laptop. Saved over a $100 by doing it myself rather than having a computer repair tech do it for me. This is the 2nd time, I purchased shell and highly recommend it if needed.

The insignia hard drive holder works great I had several old hard drives that I wanted to get pictures and files off of and now with this it was easy open it up pop your old hard drive in plug it into your new computer/laptop and it turns it into an external hard drive I was able to down load everything with in minutes...

This enclosure was easy to install and seems very strong.

It was low costing enough to buy on a run and emergency. I am a student at college and it works with the San Disk 240 gb ssd. I am not a fan of the cable type, in general. But overall satisfied with my purchase. Plus, because the busy bee workers were indeed helpful both a plus for gender equality.

Easy to use and gives the ability to access 2.5" hard drives made for laptops that are not installed on a system any longer. Removes the need to have to install and remove hard drives in order to access data. Can double as a portable disk to allow for extra storage for a laptop or personal computer. Very durable design.

Found my old laptop but couldn't get it to boot up. Hubby dismantled the entire insides and gave me the drive to find a case for. Viola! Was simple to fit in and now have all my pictures stored in a safe place along with some important documents I had been searching for. Life is good.

Makes installing SSD drive easy. Perfect cheap accessory.

It works. It's USB 3.0. Make sure to use a USB 3.0 port on your device. If you choose to use a HDD with a disk be sure to leave it on a flat surface and not to bump it while spinning. I used it to prepare an SSD for modding my fat PlayStation 2.

Great portable drive. Use it for video and no issues to date.

This is a nice laptop harddrive enclosure. Its metallic, not plastic and is easy enough to use. One thing that keeps it from getting five stars is that it isn't clear to me as to how protective it is of the drive (I think if you dropped if from a desktop, you might be in trouble...) and there is a plastic peice between the back and the metal casing that feels awkward when putting the harddrive in. Otherwise works great.

This product worked really well but was very finicky. It would eject at random times causing me to have to transfer data in small batches. I eventually returned it because I was tired of messing with it. But on a positive note, it was very easy to setup and it was really fast when it worked. I must have just gotten a defective one.
