I have had this about a year in and a half. It was suggested over bigger screens and better known tablets. It was a good choice. Wish I would have downloaded more NVIDA games. The few I did download I have enjoyed. Still works great.

I purchased this 2.5 SATA drive enclosure so I could get to the data from my old laptop that would not turn on anymore. Once I removed the drive from the laptop it installed easily in the new enclosure. Then using the USB cable, just plugged it in to retrieve the data to my new computer. After transferring the files I needed,I now can use my old drive in the new enclosure as a portable USB drive

I bought this to try to rescue data off of a laptop hard drive where the laptop had been severely dropped and would not boot up. Even though inserting the drive into the cage was easy, I could not get two different machines to read the hard drive. It might easily have been that the disk itself was damaged in the drop, but I would try something like this if you want to try to rescue some data yourself.

Purchased this product in order to transfer my "old files" to my new computer. However, since I have a fast but limited to 250G SSD HD I decided to use my former HD as an external storage drive. Set up was a breeze and everything is working fine. Thus I am saving space on my SSD that would normally go toward seldom used stuff.

This is a VERY DELICATE Device designed to turn your laptop hard drive into a External Portable, if you're laptop is being repaired or is no longer current with the times. Be care putting it together case its very device is very delicate.

Great case for an extra hard drive I had laying around. It allowed me to safely make it into an additional portable storage.

I purchased this enclosure to aid in swapping a new SDD into my old Macbook Pro. The transfer went through without a hitch, and as an added bonus I now get to use my old HDD as an external drive thanks to the enclosure!

very easy to get into and install a hard drive in it, very sturdy and amazingly light even with a drive in place. one slight flaw is that the cord it comes with is very stiff, and without any grips the case tends to slide when plugging in the cable.

My computer went out and I could not retrieve my work. I extracted the unit that holds everything together, placed it in the casing and now I am back in business. I was then able to transfer everything to my new computer and I am living "Happily Ever After"

Got this for like 5 bucks off, so it came to 8. Using this to turn an old laptop HD into Extended Storage for a PS4. Seems to be working well.

Cheap way to get more use out of an old drive. USB3 really makes a difference.

We had an old Gateway finally quit, but the hard drive was still good! A friend suggested buying this to use our old HD as an external HD. So far it works great!

We purchased this item as we were working on my sister-in-law's old computer trying to save her photos on a laptop that died. We were able to save all of them and place them on her new laptop. Worked great!

I took a HDD out of a laptop and put it in this enclosure to give myself an external drive. Works perfectly. Easy to setup and easy to use. I'm able to put it in my gig bag (DJ service) and carry it with me everywhere. Very sturdy and light.

When you think your external drive is dead, it may be the controls to run the drive that have gone bad. If the drive has power and is beyond the warranty period, you might want to remove the drive from the old case & insert it into a new case. Nothing lost; everything gained.....and the case is re-usable!!!!!

This hard drive was able to save all of my information from my previous computer. So easy to use and it's great to know I have all of my older files near by and easily accessible if needed.

Needed a caddy to put an old internal sata laptop drive in and this worked like a charm. Very sturdy and easy to use. Works right out of the box with minimal physical setup required.

If I'd realized how small the hard drive I was repurposing actually was I wouldn't have bought this, but for it's function this thing is great. Very sturdy case, simply to use. Great for repurposing old drives
