I bought one of these for each of my kids and it works great so time to get one for me! A great purchase for peace of mind of not losing important information. If your computer goes you will feel great knowing you have a back up.

Provides excellent performance, easy to setup. Metal case does run a bit hot.

as expected works great...had to get something to salvage a dead computer's info...the hard drive was good, the motherboard died when some water was spilled onto the keyboard...i was able to get the information off the hard drive...am very pleased

This was a great find. It was in stock at my local store and is a very high quality piece. It took all of 3 minutes to assemble and I was up and running. It even came with the screwdriver to mount my drive. It is very well built and feels like an expensive portable hard drive. I would highly recommend this item.

My Compaq Laptop had fab issues and I needed to pull the hard drive in order to access important documents. This enclosure worked perfectly. I was able to install the drive close it. And I can now access the hard drive with no issues.

If I'd realized how small the hard drive I was repurposing actually was I wouldn't have bought this, but for it's function this thing is great. Very sturdy case, simply to use. Great for repurposing old drives

This hard drive enclosure is perfect for saving/extracting data from a broken laptop. Once you pull the drive from the old laptop, it connects to the enclosure in seconds and becomes just an external drive. Move your data over at you leisure, or just keep it as an external drive.

Needed a caddy to put an old internal sata laptop drive in and this worked like a charm. Very sturdy and easy to use. Works right out of the box with minimal physical setup required.

Easy to assemble and connect, If your computer crashes and you want to save the data from the hard drive this is a must-have when the computer repair isn't worth saving the computer but the data is still good

I used this encloure to upgrade on the old HDD from a laptop to and SSD. The encloure is made of metal and was very easy to use. Plus no external power is needed. Made Upgrading the laptop very easy. Plus you could use to make an external hard drive very easily.

I purchased this product to read a few old laptop drives I had sitting around. It's very solid built and works great for laptop drives. I did try plugging in a 3.5" drive but it does not provide enough power for that type. Stick with laptop drives (it's intended purpose) and it works great!

Works as expected. Plug in and play. Good price purchased on sale.

This was my answer to my need to back up my files on old computer so that I could use them with my old computer. I just plug it into my computer whenever I want to access those files. It works well.

My personal computer died with all my data. This device allowed me to access my data by allowing me to use my old drive as an external drive accessed through an usb cable. I was able to transfer my personal documents to new computer and later use the old drive as a backup. I am glad it was available.

I had an Apple and Windows Laptop drives which I wanted to gain access after recycling the old Apple MacBook and my Windows Laptop. I was able to remove the drives from each and use two enclosures to access the information as an archive in the future... Worked well and has done a good jobs very easily..

Application was to resurrect a laptop with a messed up virus scanner that would not let the machine completely boot. I removed the HDD and installed it into the adapter and hooked it to my desktop machine. It showed up on the My Computer screen and operated just like a regular disk drive. No problems with the adapter, but I still could not fix the target computer. :(

The connection to the drive works well..sometimes stops running.but that might be my old drive. The drive I pulled out of my mac laptop fits with the exception of the routed out part on either side of the case seeming intended for hardware/screw heads but doesn't work with the small screws on the side of my drive.

Was looking for an external enclosure to put a 2.5” hdd in and decided to give this a try, works flawlessly, haven’t been able to try it on a high speed USB port but I’m sure the physical disk would be the limiting factor in performance unless a ssd is used.

Very affordable enclosure. I damaged the first one but Best Buy accommodating me by swapping it out for a brand new one. Does what I need it to do at an affordable price.

I got this for testing and SSD externally with my laptop to see if it was dead. It was easy to us talk the drive into the chassis, and was easy to take apart and put back together. Very easy to use.
