Recently upgraded my macbook pro to an SSD hard drive and had no where to put the original HDD. Purchased this enclosure and can now rest at ease knowing my HDD is safe and accessible. If you need an enclosure, I recommend this one.

I lost the motherboard in my old computer but was able to retrieve all my stuff from it by pulling out old hard drive and putting in this device and plugging into USB on new computer. Doubles as external hard drive too

The direction s were confusing but since I am not a computer tech. So I brought the device to work and my computer tech showed me how to install the motherboard. Once it was put together, it worked great. Able to pull off my files from the hard drive.

Good fit and finish, however the screw heads were very soft and one stripped just removing from the enclosure. The product served its purpose and my need. May not purchase this particular case if similarly priced options are available.

I bought this enclosure to save my hard drive from my old laptop, and it's the most useful purchase I've ever made! I was able to save all of my files from it no problem and now use it as an external drive for my new laptop as well!

I bought this product as I changed my new computer hard drive to a new solid state drive. I convemiemtly was able to slip my old hard drive into this and use as a great backup for SSD drive. Had it up and gokng in 2 min . Super easy to use.

Easy to install. Good looks. I used this as a backup drive using the 750 GB that I pulled out from my daughter’s laptop and upgraded it to 1TB SSD. It works fine too.

I love the fact that its an aluminum casing. The HDD fits snuggly and has a little cushion protection for those everyday hits you might experience. I highly recommend as it has a very high speed throughput on my USB 3.0 Connection!

Used for the new Samsung Evo internal drive I purchased for my mid-2009 MacBook Pro 15”. Needed it for clone the old drive to my new drive. Did the job.

used this case to connect an SSD hard drive to my PC to clone the existing hard drive. It was easy to use and the case can be used again with another SSD drive I have for portable storage.

I was installing a new SSD to a laptop and I used this to put the old hard drive into, I was able to use it as a connector to do the data transfer but also used it to turn my old hard drive into a portable hard drive.

Purchased this with an SSD upgrade for my Sony Vaio. Stick your new drive in the enclosure, plug it into your USB port, software does the rest. Can also be used for standalone hard drive if needed.

I had installed SSD on older Mac to speed it up. However, when I recycled the Mac with a new one, I took this SSD out and am currently using this as spare storage able to store Songs, Pictures and Videos.

These items are invaluable if you are one to re-appropriate older or purpose bought larger capacity upgrades. Great for adding on to game console and carrying around for laptop uses.

Hi quality aluminum case and has everything you need to make your own portable high volume storage drive alot cheaper than other portable drives.

Great case for my old hard drive that still has info I may need to access, while keeping it safe and so much easier than having to swap.
