My hard drive went down and I needed a quick way to transfer my saved data. I purchased a hard drive and was able to plug it into this casing in less than 2 minutes. Super easy to use with zero complications!

I had installed SSD on older Mac to speed it up. However, when I recycled the Mac with a new one, I took this SSD out and am currently using this as spare storage able to store Songs, Pictures and Videos.

used this case to connect an SSD hard drive to my PC to clone the existing hard drive. It was easy to use and the case can be used again with another SSD drive I have for portable storage.

Great product. Allows me to simply plug in my old hard drive into my new computer. Can access anything that was ever saved on my hard drive including itunes! Saved my butt because my old computer had a virus on it.

Purchased this with an SSD upgrade for my Sony Vaio. Stick your new drive in the enclosure, plug it into your USB port, software does the rest. Can also be used for standalone hard drive if needed.

My laptop crashed with a hard drive failure. It had a secondary drive installed with all of my data on it. This insignia enclosure let me turn the secondary drive into a USB 3.0 external hard drive. And the price was right!

I got this to run OS X from an external ssd on an iMac 4K. Great price, does the job, not as fast as expected. Wish it was thunderbolt. But the price is right and doesn't disconnect on its own. Will buy another for sure.

Easy way to salvage the old HD from my recycled Mac Book Pro; when i retrieve everything I want from it, I have an external storage drive. Nifty. :)

Easy to install. Good looks. I used this as a backup drive using the 750 GB that I pulled out from my daughter’s laptop and upgraded it to 1TB SSD. It works fine too.

Very easy to use. Popped out hard drive from laptop that wouldn't boot. Easily to install in the enclosure. Quickly had access to 100's of photos that we thought were lost.

Purchased this enclosure to use with an SSD with an iMac USB3. Drive fits with no problem, installation was easy and connection to the computer worked as it should. This is a metal enclosure and appears to be well made.
