I bought a new SSD this is a great external encloser for my old laptop HD . I used it when i cloned my old drive to the new SSD and now with my old laptop drive installed I have I have an external drive for storage

This hard drive enclosure was used when my laptop was ruined. Very easy to install. Just take the screwed off, connect it to the housing, and put it back together. Great item if you have a good hard drive but can't install in another computer.

When my PC crashed and no one can transfer my files. With this device you put the hard drive in the case, then plug it into the PC USB. You will be able to transfer any good files.

This is the right case for my SSD drive. Easy to hook up. Works well. Sales person knew exactly what I need and was friendly and helpful.

I do computer work and I purchased this for a client as a way to keep an old hard drive full of data from an old computer to use with a new computer. Works great for them!

There's not a lot to say here - it's a good enclosure that's easy to use - unscrew, install drive, put it back together and you're ready to roll.

I purchased this case for my old laptop's hard drive. It works great, as I needed it to do. Just attached the old drive, screwed 2 screws to secure it in the case, and plugged it in my new laptop's 3.0 USB drive.

I needed to access my prior year's income tax return on my old computer, which was no longer working. By putting the old hard drive in the enclosure I was able to print out my prior year's tax return.

So happy with this purchase. I used this to repurpose an old external HDD to a newer version of USB. Easy to use. Now I have more storage space for my PS4!

Served the purpose of recovering the Laptop's hard disk data adding to that it's portable and easy to use. With all these got at reasonable price.

The drive fit well into the connector and was even more snug after using the included screws to tighten the two covers together. The enclosure is well-built and works well using the USB 3.0 cable.

Straight forward enclosure for your hard drive. Comes with a small screw driver, unscrew opening, plug-in your drive, slide it into enclosure and screw the opening back on. Done!

I got the enclosure to re-purpose my 1 Tb HD (magnetic), as an external USB 3.0 Drive. Works great for weekly back-ups for stores work data. A no worries copy of completed work data.

I paired this item with a 256GB SSD from Toshiba and used it with my Xbox One to speed up a few games. The build quality is decent and it performs well. Mine was missing two screws but I had some that worked.

first time I had ever "ordered" something from BB and had it shipped, came as fast as the other on line business we know of. the enclosure itself is a nice sturdy case, close fitting tolerances so the hard drive or SDD doesn't move and rattle around inside, Assembly is easy and fast enough, directions are encluded and easy to follow. Electronis inside the encasement seem be be of good quality . As soon as I reassembled with my hard drive, plugged the unit into the PC and immediately saw and used the drive. Would I buy another? You bet, going to order at least two more. Have changed my laptops to SSDs and these enclosesures make good use of the HDDs out of the laptops. the USB technology speeds transfer quite a bit. I'm happy

I used this casing to house the hard drive of a MacBook that I recently retired. It was very easy to figure out how to encase this around the drive. Thanks for recommending it to me Geek Squad!

Nice hard drive enclosure that even came with it's own screwdriver. But the best thing is that it's made of metal not plastic. This enclosure currently has a 1/2TB SDD in it but as the prices come down, I'll swap out the drive for a larger one. This was the primary reason for getting an enclosure like this. Sure they have SSD with their own enclosed set up but you can't upgrade the drive later on. With this type of enclosure, you can continue to use it and the drive, or upgrade the drive, for years to come or whenever you choose to put in a new drive. Plus, it's a USB 3 so that too with around for years to come. Nice little set up.
