I got the enclosure to re-purpose my 1 Tb HD (magnetic), as an external USB 3.0 Drive. Works great for weekly back-ups for stores work data. A no worries copy of completed work data.

Good enclosure at a decent price. Simple to use and install HD into. I have 3 now with SanDisk SSD drives and no problems yet.

Nice hard drive enclosure that even came with it's own screwdriver. But the best thing is that it's made of metal not plastic. This enclosure currently has a 1/2TB SDD in it but as the prices come down, I'll swap out the drive for a larger one. This was the primary reason for getting an enclosure like this. Sure they have SSD with their own enclosed set up but you can't upgrade the drive later on. With this type of enclosure, you can continue to use it and the drive, or upgrade the drive, for years to come or whenever you choose to put in a new drive. Plus, it's a USB 3 so that too with around for years to come. Nice little set up.

After my laptop crashed I was able to use this hard drive enclosure to retrieve files from it. And it now is my external hard drive for back-up. This proved to be a very easy solution for a novice like myself.

This is the second one I purchased. Very easy to install the hard drive and get it up and running.

I used this enclosure to hold a Samsung 870 QVO 2TB Internal 2.5” SATA III Solid State Drive for use externally. Works great, no problems!

Other than taking out the screws on my hard drive (so that the hard drive will slide in the casing), there is no learning curve. And this works fine and dandy. Pop it in, done.

I used this casing to house the hard drive of a MacBook that I recently retired. It was very easy to figure out how to encase this around the drive. Thanks for recommending it to me Geek Squad!

I paired this item with a 256GB SSD from Toshiba and used it with my Xbox One to speed up a few games. The build quality is decent and it performs well. Mine was missing two screws but I had some that worked.

Very simple to assemble, stays together with screws. Once you install the drive it is plug and play with basically any device you need.

first time I had ever "ordered" something from BB and had it shipped, came as fast as the other on line business we know of. the enclosure itself is a nice sturdy case, close fitting tolerances so the hard drive or SDD doesn't move and rattle around inside, Assembly is easy and fast enough, directions are encluded and easy to follow. Electronis inside the encasement seem be be of good quality . As soon as I reassembled with my hard drive, plugged the unit into the PC and immediately saw and used the drive. Would I buy another? You bet, going to order at least two more. Have changed my laptops to SSDs and these enclosesures make good use of the HDDs out of the laptops. the USB technology speeds transfer quite a bit. I'm happy

For my previous MacBook HDD (replaced it with a SSD); setup was pretty much was just, install the drive and plug it in... Voilà; instant access to all my old files. Works flawlessly.

Easy to install SSD! It works great! It made an old internal dive into an external drive.

Price was reasonable. Simply plugged in old hard drive and hooked via usb to laptop and it was recognized. Viewed and transferred files with ease. Really nothing to it, worth the money no doubt.

Extreme ease of use. My friend who is completely computer illiterate was able to plug is his SSD into this enclosure and set it up.

Perfect if you have replaced an existing laptop hard drive and would still like to use it. This allows you to mount the hard drive inside a case to make it usable and portable.

Very useful small form factor expansion case. Works with all SSD disks as well as spindled drives. Single power/USB connector does not eat up a second port needlessly like the older enclosures.
