Needed this to pull off files from a family members laptop after the OS got toasted. This device keeps it easy, pull out the old drive, drop it in this shell, plug it into my computer and Bob's your uncle.

I bought this to save data from a laptop that died. The data was good, just no way to access it. This fit the bill perfectly, and I'll be buying another soon for another laptop death.

This is a great value, and it has served me well. I bought it when I was upgrading the hard drive on my computer, and I needed this enclosure to put one of hard drives in as part of the process of transferring the data from the old drive to the new drive. I now use this enclosure, along with the old drive taken out of my computer now inside this enclosure, to hold back-ups of critical files from my computer.

Great for saving info from computer and deleting it from computer being given away. Easy to take hard drive from laptop and saving it as external drive in this case.

Great case especially when I travel. The case is hard not flimsy. It works well when I put it in my bag with many other thing that could damage my drive if i didnt use the case. Great product!

Scavenged a 1 gig drive out of a laptop that didn't like the beverage that I dumped on it . Easy to set up, able to save info that was on it . Then used it for back ups .

I had to remove my wife's laptop hard drive that would not boot up and copy her files to a new hard drive. This enclosure worked exactly as I needed it to and made the process very easy.

The device was easy and convenient to use. I took off the cover inserted the old hard drive and used the USB cord to connect to my existing computer and I was ready to go.

Had an old external that the power cable broke. I bought this and took hard drive out of old external drive and made a new one. Worked great and was able to access all files.

When the drive is inserted and closed, the case is very strong and secure. This item also includes a USB-3 connector. This item is very modern and well constructed. It allows use as a backup eternal (hand-held) drive, and the drive can be removed and used for other purposes, such as replacing a non-functioning computer drive.

Very easy to attach Hard Disks from previous computers and connect to other computers. I needed to use this to restore files I lost from my previous computer, so this was user friendly.

I was looking to replace an enclosure i had. Searching online I found this one. The price was great so I went to store to buy it. To my surprise it was available as an open box bringing down my bill even more. It works great and is very easy to use.

The hard drive enclosure works very well and is very easy to use. Was able to set up the device with a small screwdriver in about 30 seconds. Transfers information better than expected.

There isn't much to learn about this device. Just take the screws out, pull the board out of the enclosure, plug in your drive, and then put it back together again. The USB 3 made a 100GB transfer quick!!

Worked exactly like it was supposed to. I have a broken computer and i am now using its 1TB hard drive as an external drive. Saved me at least 50 bucks.

Had an old 500GB HD laying around from a dead laptop. Used the enclosure and the old drive to add storage to son's xbox one. Worked flawlessly.

One thing that I like about this product is that everything you need comes in the box, including a small screwdriver. The instructions are simple and easy to follow. I used the screwdriver to open my failed laptop so that I could remove the still-good hard disk. It was easy to connect that hard disk to this device and then close up the enclosure. From there, it is a simple USB plug-and-play connection to another computer, and my hard disk, with all of its files, was available to me again. As noted, this device is designed to work with a 2.5" (laptop) hard disk drive that has a SATA interface.

It did the job that is was supposed to. I was up and running in 10 minutes with it.

Great price and works great for my old laptops mother board went bad. Luckily the laptop Hard Drive was still fine to transfer files needed and to use as a back up for pics etc.
