Small but good

It is a plain jane holder for my old hard drive

I would have thought that because it was a holder for a hard drive that there would be some guidance on how to transfer data, but had to google it.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My Mom's laptop computer stopped booting up, but she still had a lot of files on the hard drive that were not backed up anywhere. I opened up the computer, removed the 2.5" hard drive (laptops are 2.5", desktops are 3.5") to make sure it had a Serial ATA connection. Once the hard drive is out of your computer (or a new 2.5" drive is purchased), just plug it into the enclosure, put the couple screws in, "plug and play" using a different computer to be able to access your files as an external drive. This enclosure worked perfectly, and I'd definitely recommend it to others in a similar bind.
