this hard drive enclosure works great, especially for what i needed it for. i was trying to clone my hard drive to a bigger samsung ssd using a serial transfer cable that you connect directly to the hard drive but the samsung clone software kept telling me there was no samsung hdd attached, it kept reading the data transfer cables interface, saying that was the hdd and not the samsung. i used this hdd enclosure and it worked like it was supposed to. though it's not as easy as just plugging in the transfer cable to the hdd, it's not that difficult to open the enclosure and insert the hdd.

This hard drive enclosure worked great to retrieve files from computer that was old. Easily transferred them to new computer.

This is a Great way to make use of an old laptop drive. Makes a great alternative to just leaving a good drive in an obsolete laptop.

Instructions were mostly easy to follow but could have been better. However once up and running all was smooth. Case is nice and solid.

Case is high quality. Kit came with everything needed: New high speed USB 3.0 cable and even a screw driver to assemble it. ... just what I needed.

This case is perfect for converting an old laptop internal hard drive into an external drive. I actually bought two to make my own External Solid Stasis Drive.

I swapped my hard drive out for a SSD drive and didn't want the old one to go to waste. This worked perfectly to clone the drive and then use it as an external.

Simply the best little 2.5" HD case that I have used. Simple to set up and Windows detected it with no problems. 3.0 USB connection is very fast compared to 2.0.

I needed an enclosure for an internal Mac harddrive and the Insigna enclosure work perfectly. It fit and connected to Mac Book Pro with a problem.
