The 1st reason is I needed to use a flashlight to see the measures inside. The raised numbers are part of the black interior so I found it impossible to see them without the flashlight. The 2nd reason is I had no idea the cooker works properly only for white rice. I eat only brown rice which needs way more liquid to cook. That's my bad I guess since I didn't ask about its capability to cook brown rice. If it's used for white rice, I definitely recommend it.

Nothing fancy, but it gets the job done. Quick and easy. Perfect rice every time. Also can be used to steam vegetables at the same time you have the rice cooking.
